Pharmacological properties:

Marshmallow root extract syrup is a complex herbal preparation containing polysaccharides as the main active ingredient, as well as pectins, amino acids, starch and other biologically active substances. The preparation has a bronchosecretory, expectorant, enveloping effect. It has a weak irritating effect on the receptors of the gastric mucosa, reflexively stimulates the secretion of the bronchial and salivary glands. Stimulates the formation of sputum, normalizes its rheological properties (viscosity, elasticity, adhesiveness), enhances the peristaltic movements of the bronchioles and the motor function of the ciliated epithelium of the bronchi, contributing to the excretion of sputum; has a cytoprotective and anti-inflammatory effect, promotes tissue regeneration. Reduces gastric secretion. The gastroprotective effect is the stronger and longer, the higher the acidity of the gastric juice.

Indications:

acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system - laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, BA, whooping cough.

Gastritis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer with increased acidity of gastric juice.

Application:

Shake well before use. Assign inside before meals - for adults and children over the age of 14 years - 1 tablespoon of syrup 4-6 times a day.

Children aged 6-14 years - 1 dessert spoon (10 ml) 4-6 times a day.

For children under 6 years old, the required amount of syrup is diluted in a small amount of boiled water (10-15 ml or 2-3 teaspoons):

2-6 years - 5 ml of syrup 4-6 times a day; 1-2 years - 2.5 ml 3-4 times a day; children under the age of 1 year - 2.5 ml 1-2 times a day.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined individually, taking into account the effectiveness of therapy; as a rule, the course is 7-14 days.

Contraindications:

hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.

use with caution in diabetes mellitus.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding. There is no information about the experience of using the preparation  during pregnancy and lactation.

Children. The preparation contains 2% alcohol (in 1 ml of syrup - 0.02 ml of alcohol), therefore, before taking the syrup, children under the age of 6 are diluted in boiled water.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving or working with other mechanisms. The use of the preparation does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and work with other mechanisms.
