Chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins of the lower extremities, haemorrhoids, treatment of phlebitis of the lower extremities, prevention and treatment of postoperative and traumatic hematomas and edema.
The active substance is alpha-escin, the other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, potato starch, povidone, talc, magnesium stearate; coating: talc, titanium dioxide (E171), povidone, polysorbate 80, methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sunset yellow (E110), silicone anti-foam emulsion.
A preparation with local anti-swelling, anti-inflammatory and venous protection.
Adults: the usual dose of Aescin is 2 tablets 3 times a day, after meals with plenty of liquid. Prophylactically, it can be used at least 16 hours before surgery. After 2-3 months of treatment, maintenance treatment can be used at a dose of 40 mg (2 tablets) twice a day. When using contraceptives, a double dose of alpha-escin can be taken. Elderly people: no dosage adjustment is necessary. Children: the drug is not recommended for use in children.
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of Aescin, if you suffer from severe renal insufficiency during pregnancy and during breast-feeding.
