Active substance: dry extract of chestnut bark 62.5 mg / g, lidocaine hydrochloride 5 mg / g; excipients: tannin, chamomile oil, macrogol 300, white petroleum jelly, lanolin, liquid paraffin, bronopol, purified water.
It soothes the symptoms of hemorrhoidal disease, the ointment has local anesthetic, astringent and anti-inflammatory properties
Rectal administration. Adults: unless the doctor recommends otherwise, apply the ointment to the affected area using the attached cannula or press about 0.5 - 1.0 g into the rectum (a strip of ointment approx. 2 cm long), 2-3 times a day until until acute symptoms resolve. The dose can then be reduced by applying the ointment once a day. The preparation should be used until symptoms disappear
Do not use Aesculan if you are hypersensitive to the active substances or excipients, if you are allergic to amide local anesthetics and / or if you are allergic to Asteraceae plants.
