Traditional herbal medicine for use in the above-mentioned indications, resulting only from its long-term use.
Bronchicum N, is used as an expectorant to relieve the symptoms of cough associated with colds
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age - 10-20 ml (1-2 tablespoons) 3 times a day.
Children from 4 to 12 years of age: 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 3 to 5 times a day.
Do not use in children under 4 years of age.
The active substance is Thymi extractum fluidum (a liquid extract of the herb thyme).
100 ml of syrup contains:
Thymi extractum fluidum (1: 2-2.5) - 15 g
Mixture of extractants:
Aqueous ammonia solution 10% (m / m): glycerol 85% (m / m): ethanol 90% (v / v): water (1: 20: 70: 109).
The other ingredients are: rose oil, honey aroma concentrate, cherry juice concentrate, invert syrup 81/55, glucose syrup, sugar syrup, 67% solution, sodium benzoate, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.
Expectorant. The preparation dilutes the mucus and makes expectoration easier.
Used as an expectorant to relieve the symptoms of cough associated with colds.
Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. Due to the alcohol content, the preparation cannot be used by alcoholics and after consulting a doctor when symptoms of liver disease, CNS, diabetes or epilepsy are present or have occurred.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Discontinue use of the preparation immediately and notify your doctor if you experience symptoms of hypersensitivity to the preparation:
- rash or redness of the skin
- swelling of the throat, tongue, lips and larynx, accompanied by shortness of breath (called Quincke's edema).
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Bronchicum N.
If you have or have had diseases of the liver, nervous system, diabetes or epilepsy (epilepsy), the preparation can only be used after consulting a doctor (due to the alcohol content in the composition of the preparation).
In the event of dyspnoea, fever or purulent sputum, consult a doctor.
Tell the doctor or pharmacist about all the preparations taken by the patient now or recently, and about the preparations that the patient plans to take.
There are no known preparation interactions.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Due to the lack of sufficient test results, the preparation should not be used in pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Use of the preparation in children and adolescents
Due to the alcohol content, do not use Bronchicum N in children under 4 years of age.
