    Indications

    Pain of mild and moderate intensity of various origins (headache, toothache, joint pain, muscle pain, menstrual pain, neuralgia and others). Symptomatic treatment of flu-like conditions and colds, fever.

    Composition

    1 effervescent tablet contains: 330 mg of paracetamol and 200 mg of ascorbic acid. The other ingredients are: potassium hydrogen carbonate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sorbitol, anhydrous citric acid, sodium benzoate, sodium docusate, povidone.

    Action

    A drug with analgesic and antipyretic effect.

    Dosage

    The tablet should be dissolved in a little liquid and drunk immediately. Adults and children weighing more than 50 kg (over 15 years of age): a single dose is one or two tablets. If necessary, the dose may be repeated, but after a time not less than 4 hours. Usually, it is not necessary to exceed the daily dose of paracetamol more than 9 tablets (3 g) per day. However, in the event of severe pain, the dose may be increased to a maximum daily dose of 12 tablets (4 g) per day.
    Children: the dose is determined according to the child's weight. The recommended daily dose of paracetamol is approximately 60 mg / kg / bw / day, it should be administered in 4 to 6 divided doses, i.e. 15 mg / kg bw every 6 hours or 10 mg / kg bw every 4 hours. The approximate age for a specific body weight is given as a guideline only.
    For children weighing from 27 to 30 kg (around 8 to 10 years of age) a single dose is one tablet, if necessary, the dose can be repeated every 6 hours, do not take more than 5 tablets a day.
    For children weighing from 30 to 35 kg (aged 10 to 12 years), a single dose is one to two tablets, if necessary, the dose can be repeated every 6 hours, do not take more than 6 tablets a day.
    For children weighing from 35 to 50 kg (12 to 15 years of age), a single dose is one to two tablets, if necessary, the dose may be repeated every 4 hours, do not take more than 7 tablets a day.

    Contraindications

    If you are allergic (hypersensitive to paracetamol, ascoric acid or any of the other ingredients of Efferalgan Vitamin C; in children weighing less than 27 kg, in women in the first trimester of pregnancy; if you suffer from severe liver or kidney failure; you suffer from alcoholism; if you suffer from a deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase; if you are treated with MAO inhibitors and within 14 days after the end of treatment; if you are combined with agonist / antagonist analgesics: buprenorphine, nalbuphine , pentazocine, if you have kidney stones, when high doses of vitamin C (greater than 1 g) are administered.
