Product description

Maxidex eye drops - is an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid preparation that is used in ophthalmic practice.

Has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and desensitizing effect. Dexamethasone actively suppresses inflammatory processes, inhibiting eosinophilic ejection of inflammatory mediators, migration of mast cells and decreasing capillary permeability.

The preparation does not have mineralocorticoid activity.

Indications:

• Allergic blepharitis.
• Allergic conjunctivitis.
• Allergic keratoconjunctivitis.
• Acute and chronic iritis.
• Iridocyclitis.
• Prevention and treatment of inflammatory reactions in the postoperative period.
• Thermal and chemical burn (after complete epithelialization of corneal defects).

Contraindications:

• Viral, bacterial and fungal infections of the eyes.
• Diseases of the cornea in combination with defects of the epithelium.
• Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.

Special instructions:

When using preparations containing GCS, the intraocular pressure should be measured regularly for more than 10 days.

The preparation is intended for topical use only (not for injection).

During treatment it is not recommended to wear contact lenses.

Avoid touching the tip of the dropper to any surfaces to avoid microbial contamination of the contents of the vial.

Before use, shake the contents of the vial.

Use in Pediatrics

At present, safety and efficacy of the preparation in children have not been established.

Suggested Use:

The preparation is instilled in 1-2 drops in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye (or eyes) every 3-6 hours.

Packaging:

• Comes in original packaging. Item is brand new and unopened.

Storage:

• Keep away from direct sunlight.
• Keep locked and away from children.
• Store in dry place at room temperature.
• Do not exceed storage temperature higher than 25 C
