    Pharmacological properties

    Mukaltin is an effective expectorant, the effect of which is predetermined by secretolytic and bronchodilator properties. The drug has a moderate antitussive effect, reduces the number of coughing attacks and their intensity. It has emollient, anti-inflammatory and enveloping properties. It normalizes altered bronchopulmonary secretion, improves sputum production: reduces its viscosity and adhesive properties, facilitates the promotion of sputum from the lower to the upper respiratory tract and its expectoration.
