In the body, the precursors of carnitine are primarily lysine (amino acid) and methionine (amino acid), as well as ascorbic acid, niacin, vitamin B6 and Fe2 + ions. Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids - include e.g. eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). These acids are not synthesized in the body, so they must be supplied, e.g. with food. DHA is the main structural lipid compound of the brain and nervous system. EPA is necessary for the transmission of information between nerve fibers. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is a coenzyme of many metabolic reactions, including participation in the synthesis of neurotransmitters, compounds responsible for transmitting impulses in the nervous system. It contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to maintaining proper energy metabolism, as well as protein and glycogen metabolism.
