    Product description

    Sylimarol 70 mg is a medicinal herbal product in the form of dragees, which is used to assist in convalescence after toxic and metabolic liver damage (alcohol, plant protection products) and after eating heavy foods. Silimarol is also used as an auxiliary in ailments occurring after acute and chronic liver diseases.

    Indications

    As an aid in convalescence after liver damage, after eating hard-to-digest foods and in chronic liver inflammation.

    Composition

    1 tablet contains:
    active substances: 100 mg of dry extract of milk thistle husk (Silybi mariani fructus extractum siccum, DER 20-34: 1, extractant - methanol 90%), excipient added to the extract: sodium benzoate,
    excipients: glucose, potato starch, sucrose, talc, magnesium stearate, gum arabic, a mixture of white beeswax and carnauba wax (Capol 1295).

    Action

    Stabilization of the membranes of the liver cells, as well as protection against the influence of harmful toxic substances.

    Dosage

    Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 tablet 3 times a day after eating, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
    The drug requires systematic use for about 2-4 weeks. If the symptoms worsen or do not improve, contact your doctor who may extend the treatment. Avoid substances that are harmful to the liver during treatment.
    Contraindications
    Do not use the drug if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients or if you are hypersensitive to Compositae / Asteraceae plants.

    Storage

    Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach and sight of children.

    Side effects

    Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
    During use, gastrointestinal disorders may occur.
    Occasionally a mild laxative effect is observed.
    If any of the side effects gets serious, or you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

    Interactions

    Inform your doctor about all medications you have recently taken, even those sold without a prescription.
    So far, no interactions with other drugs have been reported.

    Warnings and Precautions

    Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
    If you develop symptoms of jaundice (yellowing of the skin, yellow-colored eyes), please consult your doctor. The drug is not intended for the treatment of acute liver poisoning.
    In the event of an intolerance to certain sugars, consult a physician before taking this product.
    Use in children and adolescents
    Due to the lack of safety data, the drug is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. 
    Pregnancy and breastfeeding
    Due to the lack of safety data, the preparation should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
    Driving vehicles and operating machinery
    The use of the preparation does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
