    Indications

    Prevention of constipation and treatment of chronic constipation as an adjunct in patients with haemorrhoids and / or anal fissures, as well as in patients for whom, due to their health condition, increased effort to pass stools is not recommended, preparation for diagnostic and surgical procedures.

    Composition

    1 capsule contains: sodium docusate (Natrii docusas) 50 mg and excipients: macrogol 400, glycerol, propylene glycol, gelatin, non-crystallising liquid sorbitol, purified water.

    Action

    The sodium docusate contained in the preparation is a surfactant. It has an emulsifying effect and reduces the surface tension at the border of the gastrointestinal epithelium and fecal masses. Thanks to this, it facilitates the penetration of water and fats deep into the fecal masses in the large intestine, which changes the consistency of the stool and facilitates defecation. Dokuzyinate does not stimulate intestinal peristalsis.

    Dosage

    The product is used orally. Adults: 1 to 4 capsules a day (50 mg to 200 mg). Children from 6 to 12 years: from 1 to 2 capsules a day (from 50 mg to 100 mg). Take each dose with a full glass of water or fruit juice. The effect of the product occurs 1-3 days after the first dose.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to any component of the product, nausea and vomiting, appendicitis, intestinal obstruction and conditions threatening the occurrence of intestinal obstruction (accumulation of fecal masses, enteritis, intestinal stricture, peritoneal adhesions, hernias, polyps, tumors), acute pain of unknown cause in the cavity abdominal, gastrointestinal bleeding of unknown cause, states of dehydration.
