    Dosage

    Adults and children over 12 years of age: Usually 1 dose of gel in each nostril every 8 to 10 hours.
    Do not use doses higher than recommended.
    Do not use for more than 3 to 5 days.

    Composition

    1 dose contains 0.1 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride.

    Action

    Xylogel 0.1% gel contains xylometazoline hydrochloride. When applied to the nasal mucosa, it causes the narrowing of blood vessels, reduces swelling and congestion of the nasopharyngeal mucosa and reduces the amount of secretions, i.e. soothes a runny nose.
    In addition, the preparation, due to the fact that it is in the form of a gel, moisturizes the nasal mucosa and does not drip to the bottom of the nasal cavity and the throat. Xylogel 0.1% is intended for use in adults and children over 12 years of age.

    indications

    The preparation is used as an adjunct in the treatment of: acute viral or bacterial rhinitis, acute or chronic worsening inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, allergic rhinitis, acute otitis media - in order to open the Eustachian tube.

    Contraindications

    Do not use the preparation in patients with chronic or vasomotor rhinitis.

    Side effects

    Nasal dryness, nasal irritation, burning sensation in the nose and throat, and sneezing may occur. Symptoms of systemic effects are very rare: nausea, headache, weakness, fatigue, drowsiness, visual disturbances, allergic reactions (dyspnea, angioedema) and palpitations, increased heart rate, increase in blood pressure (especially in people with cardiovascular diseases).

    Use of other medications

    Really good product. It moisturizes very quickly, constricts blood vessels, soothes, especially ailments associated with dryness. Due to the gel structure, there is no option of unpleasant flow down the throat. Very easy to apply.

    I have been using it for many years, it is the only nasal gel that my Allergist allows, so I can recommend it to everyone. It is the least irritating to the mucosa due to its thicker consistency. And the price is very affordable. the only thing he regrets is the withdrawal of larger packages.

    It is absolutely the only drug that prevents closure of the laryngeal lumen in hypersecretion in the course of EDS6a. No laryngologist in the world has invented anything better yet. :( Yes, you have to take it chronically for the rest of your life until you die. At least until someone comes up with another way to save your life. Without it, you'd have to be on a ventilator all the time, or at least have someone suck it out.
