Aciclovir Belupo cream is indicated for the treatment of infections of the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus (Herpes labialis).
Active substance: acyclovir;
1 g of cream contains 50 mg of acyclovir;
Excipients: propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol (macrogol) glyceryl stearate, cetostearyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin, sodium lauryl sulfate, purified water.
Hypersensitivity to acyclovir, valacyclovir, propylene glycol or other components of the cream.
The preparation is intended for external use.
For adults and children over 12 years of age, apply the cream 5 times a day at approximately 4-hour intervals, excluding at night. The duration of treatment is at least 4 days. If after 4 days the skin lesions have not completely disappeared, the treatment can be extended for another 6 days (in total, 10 days from the start of treatment). If the symptoms of the disease do not disappear after 10 days of treatment, the patient should consult a doctor.
It is important to start treatment as soon as possible at the onset of the infection.
Hands should be washed before and after applying the cream and avoiding excessive rubbing or touching the affected area with a towel to prevent exacerbation or transmission of infection.
