    Product description

    Allegra is a medicinal product used in adults and children aged 12 years and older to treat the symptoms of hay fever.

    Composition

    The active substance is: fexofenadine hydrochloride.

    1 tablet contains 120 mg of fexofenadine hydrochloride.

    The other ingredients are: tablet core composition: croscarmellose sodium, pregelatinized corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate. Coating composition: hypromellose E-15, hypromellose E-5, povidone K30, titanium dioxide (E171), colloidal anhydrous silica, macrogol 400, red iron oxide (E172) and yellow iron oxide (E172).

    Dosage

    Always use this medicine exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

    Adults and children aged 12 years and over: 1 tablet daily.

    Take the tablet orally, before a meal, with water.

    Indications

    The medicine is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis): sneezing, itchy nose, nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy, red, watery eyes.

    Contraindications

    If the patient is allergic to fexofenadine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients.

    Side effects

    Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

    • Common side effects (occurring in less than 1 in 10 but more than 1 in 100 patients): headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea.

    • Uncommon side effects (occurring in less than 1 in 100 but more than 1 in 1,000 patients): tiredness/sleepiness.

    • Unknown frequency: difficulty falling asleep, sleep disorders, nervousness, rapid or irregular heartbeat, skin rash, itching, diarrhea, hives, severe allergic reactions.

    Warnings and precautions

    Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Allegra.

    • If you have kidney or liver problems.

    • If you have or have had a circulatory disease, as this medicine may cause rapid or irregular heartbeat.

    Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

    Store at room temperature.

    Taking other medicines

    Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.

    Taking antacids containing aluminum and magnesium may affect the effect of Allegra by reducing the amount of the preparation absorbed.

    For this reason, it is recommended to leave about 2 hours between taking the above-mentioned antacids and taking Allegra.

    Pregnancy and breastfeeding

    Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using the preparation.

    Allegra should not be used during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary.

    Revelation. I have been an allergy sufferer for ages and I have tested countless drugs, desensitization, etc., etc. Among the drugs there are many drugs that do not work at all, there are those that work well, but after some time the body gets used to the effects of the drug it goes down until it often degrades to zero. Interestingly, allergists recommend medications that are usually completely ineffective and prescription, while a friend can, from her own experience, give a specific that ... turns out to be perfect. Allegra, meanwhile, works and does not show any side effects, including it does not cause drowsiness. In my opinion, having been suffering from multi-allergies for 30 years, this is the best drug I have come across so far. May it not stop working after a longer period of use, just like several others before.

    The best drug. From what I have learned, it is a new generation drug, not like the first generation drug Cepti or the second generation Loratadine. So cheap doesn't always mean good. This one worked, but it doesn't work for everyone. So I wish you good health.

    I use it for my allergy and it works :) A huge advantage is the purchase without a prescription, unfortunately the price is a downside ... because the packaging is only enough for 10 days, provided that you take 1 tablet. a day - I have to take the second one sometimes ...

    As for non-prescription drugs, Allegra is the strongest in my opinion and has no side effects. Of course, it also has its limits (in the worst moments of pollen and with high pollen exposure, it only alleviates symptoms), but compared to other drugs, it is definitely number one.

    Allegra is an over-the-counter allergy medication. The composition of Allegra is 120 mg fexofenadine. The package contains 10 tablets, which unfortunately makes the drug a bit expensive. prices in pharmacies range from PLN 8 to even over PLN 15 per pack.
    Fexofenadine is effective against all kinds of allergies and does not make you drowsy. For people with a higher body weight and more intense allergic symptoms, 120mg may be a bit too small dose, however, my research shows that a dose greater than 120mg is not available without a prescription.
