Capsules "Amigren" are used to quickly relieve migraine attacks, with or without aura.
The active ingredient is sumatriptan (the bottom of the capsule contains sumatriptan succinate in terms of sumatriptan 50 mg).
Excipients: lactose, monohydrate; microcrystalline cellulose; croscarmellose sodium; magnesium stearate.
The composition of the capsule shell: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E 171), ponso 4R (E 124).
Capsules of the drug "Amigren" can not be used to prevent an attack.
"Amigren" is recommended to be used as soon as possible after the onset of a migraine attack, although it is equally effective at each stage of the attack.
The recommended dose of the drug "Amigren" for adults is 50 mg. In some cases, the dose can be increased to 100 mg.
"Amigren" can be used for new migraine attacks, but if the first dose is ineffective, you should not reapply the drug during the same attack.
If the patient responds to the first dose, but symptoms recover, the second dose can be applied within the next 24 hours, while the total daily dose should not exceed 300 mg.
The capsules should be swallowed whole with water.
Pregnant
It is not recommended to use "Amigren" for pregnant women. If necessary, the ratio of the expected benefit to the mother and the possible risk to the fetus should be weighed.
Use with caution during breastfeeding. It is not recommended to breastfeed your baby for 24 hours after taking the drug.
Children
By this time, the efficacy and safety of using sumatriptan in children have not been established, therefore, the drug "Amigren" is not recommended to be prescribed to this category of patients.
Drivers
Drowsiness can be a consequence of both migraine and its treatment with the drug "Amigren", therefore, you should avoid driving vehicles or working with mechanisms while taking the drug or a migraine attack.

From the side of the cardiovascular system: a transient increase in blood pressure immediately after taking the drug, blood flow, bradycardia, tachycardia, increased heart rate, arrhythmias, transient ischemic ECG changes, coronary artery spasm, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, arterial hypotension, Raynaud's disease.
From the respiratory system: shortness of breath.
From the side of the digestive tract: nausea and vomiting that occur in some patients, but their relationship with the use of sumatriptan is not fully understood; ischemic colitis, diarrhea.
From the musculoskeletal system: a feeling of heaviness, myalgia. These symptoms are usually transient, can be intense and affect any part of the body, including the chest and throat; stiff neck muscles, arthralgia.
From the side of the organ of vision: flickering, diplopia, decreased visual acuity, loss of vision (usually transient). However, visual impairment can be a consequence of the migraine attack itself.
On the part of the skin: hyperhidrosis.
