    Amixin IC is the first preparation that was discovered in America 53 years ago and registered in Ukraine.

    The medication is an oral inducer of interferon formation, which triggers the body's immune reserves to fight viral infections.

    The preparation contains tilorone, which has a double pharmacological effect:

    Immunomodulatory - the substance gets inside and activates the cells of the intestine, liver, leukocytes and bone marrow, which leads to an acceleration in the production of interferon and the formation of antibodies. As a result, the ratio of lymphocytes is normalized and the weakened links of the immune system are restored.

    Antiviral - slows down the formation of proteins by ribosomes at the genetic level in the affected cells, and the death of viruses occurs.

    Forms of issue

    Amixin is presented in pharmacies as:

    tablets for adults that contain 125 mg of tilorone.

    tablets for children - 60 mg of active ingredient.

    The dosage forms are covered with a protective shell and are available in 3, 6 and 10 pieces in the manufacturer's packaging.

    In what cases is Amixin taken?

    The preparation is used in the combined treatment and prevention of infections that cause viruses of colds, respiratory diseases that occur upon contact with patients or hypothermia.

    The medication is used in combination therapy:

    • herpes,
    • tuberculosis
    • flu,
    • viral hepatitis,
    • chlamydia, cytomegalovirus infection,
    • encephalomyelitis and meningoencephalitis,
    • normalization of immunity in a patient after x-ray irradiation and surgery, taking medications that slow down the growth of tumors.

    Amixin how to take?

    Amixin adult is prescribed orally - one tablet once a day after meals.

    The medicine is drunk on the first, second and fourth, sixth, eighth and tenth days of treatment, swallowed and washed down with water. The course of application is six days.

    The preparation is used in pediatric practice in the complex therapy of influenza and respiratory infections in young children who are seven years old.

    Amixin for children is taken orally - one tablet once a day after meals, using the regimen - on the first, second and fourth days of illness. The course of therapy is three days.

    The preparation is characterized by advantages over other antiviral medicines:

    • the duration of the effect - the production of interferon begins four hours after administration and remains in the human body for a day.
