    Product description

    Apap Junior colds is a medicine in the form of a powder for oral solution. It contains 300 mg of paracetamol, 20 mg of vitamin C and 5 mg of phenylephrine. Paracetamol is a pain reliever that also works as an antipyretic preparation. Apap Junior is taken to treat the symptoms associated with colds and flu.

    Indications

    The preparation is intended for adults and children from 6 years of age in the short-term treatment of cold and flu symptoms, such as:
    • fever and chills
    • Headache,
    • muscle and joint pain,
    • sore throat,
    • obstruction of the nasal passages and sinuses with pain,
    • rhinitis (runny nose).

    Composition

    1 sachet contains:

    • Paracetamolum 300mg, Acidum ascorbicum 20mg, Phenylephrini hydrochloridum 5mg.
    • excipients: mannitol (E421), citric acid, sodium citrate, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, calcium gluconate, powdered orange flavor 877834, powdered strawberry flavor 877874, colloidal anhydrous silica.

    Action

    Analgesic, antipyretic.

    Dosage

    • Adults and children over 12 years of age: from 1 to 2 sachets not more frequently than every 4-6 hours, maximum 6 sachets a day.
    • Children aged 6-12. years (26-40kg): 1 sachet not more frequently than every 4-6 hours, maximum 4 sachets a day.

    Side effects

    Like all medicines, Apap Junior can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

    Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 patients):

    • depression, confusion,
    • trembling,
    • pupil dilation,
    • swelling
    • diarrhea,
    • stomach pain,
    • increase in liver enzymes (transaminases),
    • abnormal liver function,
    • itching
    • sweating,
    • bad mood,
    • fever,
    • excessive sedation.

    Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 patients):

    • anemia (reduction in the number of red blood cells),
    • leukopenia,
    • neutropenia (decrease in the number of one type of white blood cell in the blood - leukocytes or neutrophils)
    • agranulocytosis (lack of one type of white blood cell in the blood),
    • thrombocytopenia (reduction in the number of platelets in the blood),
    • pigmented purpura,
    • sterile pyuria (cloudy urine).

    Not known side effects (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data):

    • bow,
    • nervousness,
    • anxiety,
    • hallucinations
    • dizziness,
    • Headache,
    • insomnia,
    • increase in blood pressure,
    • pale skin,
    • nausea,
    • vomiting,
    • digestive disorders,
    • burning in the upper abdomen,
    • dry mouth
    • acute or chronic pancreatitis.

    Interactions

    In the event of an overdose of Apap Junior, contact your doctor or the emergency department.

    Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription.

    Warnings and Precautions

    Before starting treatment, talk to your doctor or pharmacist: if you suffer from severe renal or hepatic impairment, phaeochromocytoma, bronchial asthma, prostatic hyperplasia, overactive thyroid gland, Raynaud's syndrome (paling and then blue fingers, toes, the edges of the earlobes and the tip of the nose, often under the influence of cold or emotions), coronary artery disease, hypertension, diabetes; - you are taking anticoagulants.

    The use of paracetamol may increase the risk of metabolic acidosis.
