Product description

Arista tablets are indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men.

The preparation is effective for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in the presence of sexual stimulation.

The preparation is not indicated for use in women.

Compound

Active ingredient: tadalafil;

1 coated tablet contains tadalafil 20 mg;

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium; sodium lauryl sulfate; hydroxypropyl cellulose; microcrystalline cellulose magnesium stearate film coating Opadry II yellow 31K32498 (lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171) iron oxide yellow (E172) triacetin; iron oxide black (E172)).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or other components of the preparation.

Heart diseases:

myocardial infarction within the last 90 days;
unstable angina or angina that occurs during sexual intercourse;
heart failure, New York Heart Association class 2 or higher, within the past 6 months;
uncontrolled arrhythmias, hypotension (<90/50 mm Hg) or uncontrolled hypertension;
stroke within the last 6 months;
other heart conditions in which sexual activity is undesirable (physicians should consider the potential cardiac risk associated with sexual activity in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease).

Loss of vision in one eye as a result of non-arterial anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAPION), regardless of whether it was due to previous exposure to PDE-5 inhibitors or not.

Simultaneous use of organic nitrates in any dosage form (in the course of clinical studies, tadalafil found the property to enhance the hypotensive effect of nitrates. It is believed that this is a consequence of the combined effect of the effects of nitrates and tadalafil on the nitric oxide / cGMP pathway) (see Section "Interaction with other preparations and other types of interactions).

Concomitant use of guanylate cyclase stimulants such as riociguat (this could potentially lead to symptomatic hypotension).

Mode of application

The preparation is intended for oral use. The tablets can be taken 30 minutes before expected sexual activity, with or without food.

The recommended dose of tadalafil is 10 mg (use tadalafil preparations at the appropriate dosage) before expected sexual activity.

Patients in whom tadalafil at a dose of 10 mg does not have the desired effect, the preparation can be used at a dose of 20 mg.

The maximum recommended frequency of administration is 1 time per day.

Tadalafil 10 mg and 20 mg are not recommended for daily use.

Drivers

The effect of tadalafil on the ability to drive vehicles or other mechanisms is negligible. Although the frequency of reports of dizziness in clinical trials with placebo and in clinical trials with tadalafil was similar, patients should know their individual response to the preparation before driving vehicles or other mechanisms.

Overdose

Symptoms. With a single dose of tadalafil up to 500 mg in healthy volunteers and with repeated use of tadalafil in a dose of up to 100 mg per day by patients, adverse reactions were similar to those observed with lower doses of tadalafil.

Treatment. In case of overdose, symptomatic and supportive therapy should be carried out. Hemodialysis has little effect on the elimination of tadalafil.

Side effects

The most commonly reported side effects in the treatment of erectile dysfunction were headache, dyspepsia, back pain, myalgia, the incidence of which increased with increasing dose of tadalafil. Adverse reactions were short-term, from mild to moderate.

Interaction

In preclinical studies, an additive hypotensive effect was found with the simultaneous use of PDE-5 inhibitors with riociguat. In clinical studies, it was found that riociguat enhances the hypotensive effect of PDE-5 inhibitors. There was no evidence of a beneficial clinical effect of this combination in the study population. The simultaneous use of riociguat with PDE-5 inhibitors, including tadalafil, is contraindicated.
