Product description 

Aspargin is a preparation that contains magnesium and potassium. It contains a well-absorbed mixture of magnesium and potassium salts of aspartic acid, which is an important building component

the body.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, on average, 1 to 2 tablets are taken 2 to 3 times a day, orally, after a meal, which corresponds to 108 mg to 324 mg of potassium per day and from 34 mg to 102 mg of magnesium per day.

Composition

1 tablet contains 17 mg of magnesium ions in the form of 250 mg of magnesium hydrogen aspartate; 54 mg

potassium ion in the form of 250 mg of potassium hydrogen aspartate.

Excipients: potato starch, sodium carboxymethyl starch, sucrose, magnesium

stearate, talc.

Indications

Supplementing magnesium and potassium deficiency (when intravenous administration is not necessary): in case of cardiac arrhythmias and hyperactivity - especially against the background of magnesium and potassium deficiency; prophylactically in ischemic heart disease, at risk of heart attack; in post-infarction convalescence; after infectious diseases or surgery in the course of which there was a loss of magnesium and potassium; as a medicine to counteract the adverse effects of long-term use of cardiac glycosides and diuretics (e.g. thiazides, furosemide). The preparation is not intended for use in children under 12 years of age.

Contraindications

Do not use Aspargin if there is: hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation, hypermagnesemia, hyperkalemia (excess magnesium or potassium in the blood), severe renal failure (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml / min), atrioventricular conduction disturbances (block), bradycardia (heart beats too slowly), myasthenia gravis (a rare disease with muscle relaxation), severe hypotension.

Side effects

As with all medicines, Aspargin can cause side effects. The medicine can cause atrioventricular conduction disturbances (problems with the heart beat). Sometimes nausea and diarrhea may occur after the use of the preparation, which usually disappears spontaneously, as well as reddening of the skin, insomnia, muscle weakness. In case of severe side effects, please speak to your doctor. Some people may experience other side effects while taking Aspargin.
