"Axobrex" tablets help to increase the level of brain activity.

Active substance

Citicoline properties:

• promotes an increase in the level of brain activity, a decrease in the level of amnesia, an improvement in the state of cognitive, sensory and motor disorders observed in cerebral ischemia;
• helps to stimulate the biosynthesis of structural phospholipids in the membrane of neurons, improves the functions of membranes, including the functioning of ion-exchange pumps and neuroreceptors;
• participates in the suppression of the activity of some phospholipases, preventing the residual release of free radicals, preventing damage to membrane systems and ensuring the safety of the protective antioxidant system;
• exhibits decongestant properties, has a positive effect in reducing cerebral edema, due to a stabilizing effect on the membrane;
• can stimulate a decrease in the volume of damaged tissue, helping to reduce the risk of cell death, acting on the mechanisms of apoptosis, and helps to improve cholinergic transmission;
• promotes functional rehabilitation in acute disorders of cerebral circulation, realizing a positive effect on reducing ischemic damage to brain tissue;
• helps to shorten the duration of the recovery period and reduce the intensity of post-traumatic syndrome in traumatic brain injuries.
