    Indications

    Treatment and prevention of the symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis in adults and children 4 years of age and older. Treatment of the symptoms of perennial allergic conjunctivitis in adults and children 12 years of age and over.

    Composition

    0.05% azelastine hydrochloride solution (0.50 mg / ml).
    One drop of the preparation, about 30 µl, contains 0.015 mg of azelastine hydrochloride (Azelastini hydrochloridum). Auxiliary composition: disodium edetate, hypromellose, sorbitol, sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment), water for injections.

    Action

    Azelastin COMOD contains azelastine, which belongs to the group of antihistamines. Antihistamines work by blocking the action of substances such as histamine, which the body produces during an allergic reaction. Azelastine has been shown to reduce eye inflammation.

    Dosage

    Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Eye disorders caused by hay fever (seasonal allergic conjunctivitis): Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, adults and children 4 years of age and over should use one drop in each eye, twice a day (morning and evening). If necessary, the dose may be increased to one drop 4 times a day.
    Allergic eye disorders (perennial / non-seasonal conjunctivitis): Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, adults and children aged 12 years and over are given one drop in each eye, twice a day.
    If necessary, the dose may be increased to one drop four times a day. Do not use Azelastin COMOD for more than 6 weeks. Azelastin COMOD should only be used in the eyes.

    Contraindications

    If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to azelastine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of Azelastin COMOD. When wearing soft contact lenses. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. The preparation passes into the milk in small amounts, therefore it should not be used during breastfeeding.
