Description

Indication

Treatment of acute bronchitis and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by cough with the formation of viscous sputum.

Contraindication

Increased individual sensitivity to any of the components of the preparation, as well as to other medicinal plants of the labium family or Aralia family, to birch pollen, wormwood and celery.

The preparation is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Not observed. Can be used in combination with antibacterial preparations.

Storage

active substances: 1 ml (corresponding to 1 g) of solution contains:

0.5 ml of liquid thyme herb extract (Nerba Thymi vulgaris) (1:(2–2.5)) (extractant: ammonium solution 10%/ glycerin 85%/ ethanol 90%/ purified water (1:20:70:109 ));

0.03 ml of liquid ivy leaf extract (Folium Hederae helicis) (1:1) (extractant: ethanol 70%);

excipients: ethanol 24% (v/v), hydroxypropyl betadex, sodium saccharin dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.

Main physico-chemical properties: transparent or slightly cloudy liquid of brownish color with the smell of thyme. In the process of storage, cloudiness or precipitation may occur.

Features of application

If symptoms persist for more than 1 week or worsen during treatment, in case of difficulty breathing, fever, discharge of purulent or bloody sputum, the patient should consult a doctor.

Due to the ethanol content of 24% (v/v), the preparation should not be taken by patients after successful anti-alcohol treatment or those suffering from alcoholism. The alcohol content should also be taken into account when using the medicinal product in children in doses exceeding the recommended ones and in patients from risk groups, namely with liver diseases or with epilepsy. Concomitant use of antitussives such as codeine or dextromethorphan is not recommended. Patients with gastritis or stomach ulcers should not use this medicine without consulting a doctor.

A note for diabetics. A single dose of the medicinal product does not contain a significant amount of bread units (BU).

The ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

There is no information on the direct effect of the preparation when used in recommended doses on the ability to drive vehicles or work with other mechanisms, but it should be borne in mind that the preparation contains ethanol.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Due to the lack of sufficient experience regarding use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, the preparation is not recommended for use during these periods.

Method of application and dosage

Adults should take the preparation 2.6 ml of solution 3 times a day, children aged 12-17 years - 1.8 ml of solution 3 times a day. If necessary, the medicine can be used with a small amount of liquid. Children aged 6–11 years should use 1.6 ml of solution 3 times a day, diluted in 1 tablespoon of liquid.

The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease. Usually, the course of treatment is 7 days. If longer treatment is necessary or if the symptoms of the disease are observed for more than 7 days, the patient should consult a doctor.

Cloudiness or precipitation may occur during storage - this does not affect the effectiveness of the preparation. Shake before use! Measure the dose of the medicinal product using a measuring cap. See also the sections "Particulars of use" and "Side effects".

Children

Due to the lack of sufficient experience regarding the safety of use, the preparation is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.

Overdose

Stomach disorders, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and agitation are possible. In case of overdose, consult a doctor.

Treatment: symptomatic therapy.

Adverse reactions

Gastrointestinal disturbances, including cramping, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, are uncommon.

In isolated cases, in case of increased sensitivity, allergic reactions are possible, including difficulty breathing, couperosis, skin rashes, itching, allergic dermatitis, urticaria, angioedema.

If signs of an allergic reaction appear, the preparation should be stopped and should not be used again.

In case of any reactions, the patient should stop using the preparation and consult a doctor.

Storage conditions

To protect from exposure to light, store in the original packaging at a temperature not higher than 25 ˚C in a place inaccessible to children.
