Product description

Hard capsules "Bronles" are used for the following indications: adjunctive therapy for disorders of the respiratory tract, characterized by the formation of excessive viscous mucus, including chronic obstructive airways disease.

Compound

The active ingredient is carbocistein (one capsule contains 375 mg carbocisteine).

Excipients: mannitol, corn starch, sodium croscarmellose, sodium lauryl sulfate, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.

Capsule composition: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E 171), iron dye red oxide (E 172), iron dye yellow oxide (E 172).

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to carbocisteine or to any of the excipients;

peptic ulcer in active form.

Mode of application

Adults and elderly patients. Dosage is based on an initial daily dose of 2250 mg of carbocysteine in divided doses, gradually decreasing to 1500 mg per day in divided doses upon receipt of a satisfactory response: 2 capsules 3 times a day, reducing the dose to one capsule 4 times a day.

The preparation is intended for short-term use. Treatment with Bronles should not be continued for more than 5 days without consulting a doctor.

The preparation is intended for oral administration.

Pregnant

During pregnancy and lactation, the preparation should be used after a careful assessment of the benefit to the mother / risk to the fetus (child) ratio, which is determined by the doctor.

Children

The preparation is not intended for use in children.

Overdose

Gastric lavage may be helpful, followed by supervision.

The most common symptoms of an overdose are gastrointestinal upset.

Side effects

On the part of the immune system: there are reports of anaphylactic reactions and fixed eruptive changes in the skin.

From the gastrointestinal tract: there are reports of gastrointestinal bleeding during treatment with carbocisteine; frequency unknown (cannot be determined based on available data): vomiting, gastrointestinal bleeding.

On the part of the skin and subcutaneous tissues: there are reports of skin rashes and allergic eruptive changes in the skin; sporadic cases of bullous dermatitis such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and erythema polymorphism have also been reported.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C, out of the reach of children.
