    Product description 

    Skin powder Candid is used to treat fungal diseases of the skin and mucous membranes caused by pathogens sensitive to clotrimazole. Multicolored deprive, erythrasma.

    Compound

    Active ingredient: clotrimazole;
    1 g of powder contains clotrimazole 10 mg;
    Excipients: talc, corn starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, cosmetic fragrance.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or other components of the preparation. Hypersensitivity to other imidazoles.

    Dosage and administration

    Before using the powder, wash the affected area (using soap with a neutral pH value) and dry it. Treat the affected area prepared in this way with powder.
    For adults, apply Candid powder to the affected areas 2-3 times a day until the symptoms of the disease disappear. The disappearance of symptoms is expected after the course of treatment during the following period:
    ringworm - 3-4 weeks;
    erythrasma - 2-4 weeks;
    versicolor versicolor - 1-3 weeks.
    After the disappearance of subjective symptoms, to ensure the effectiveness of treatment, depending on the disease, it is necessary to continue using the preparation for another 2 weeks.

    Clinical studies on the effect of clotrimazole on fertility in women have not been conducted, however, animal studies have not revealed the effect of clotrimazole on fertility.
    The number of studies with the use of clotrimazole during pregnancy is limited. Animal studies have shown no direct or indirect harmful effects in terms of reproductive toxicity. As a precautionary measure, it is advisable to avoid the use of clotrimazole during the first trimester of pregnancy.
    During treatment with clotrimazole, breast-feeding should be discontinued.

    There is no experience with the use of Candid powder in children, so this category of patients should not be used.

    Overdose

    There is no risk of acute intoxication, since it is unlikely that overdose is possible after a single vaginal dose or application to the skin (application on large areas of the skin under conditions conducive to increased absorption), as well as after accidental oral use. There is no specific antidote.
    In case of accidental oral administration, it may rarely be necessary to perform a gastric lavage if the dose is life threatening, has been taken within the previous hour, or if there are visible symptoms of an overdose (eg, dizziness, nausea or vomiting). Gastric lavage should be performed only in cases where there is adequate airway protection.

    Clotrimazole inhibits the action of other topical antifungal preparations, in particular amphotericin, nystatin and natamycin.
    The antimicrobial effect of clotrimazole is enhanced by high concentrations of propyl ester of hydroxybenzoic acid.
    Dexamethasone in high doses inhibits the antifungal action of clotrimazole.
