    Product description

    Cetrilev syrup is intended for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis, including perennial allergic rhinitis, and urticaria.

    Structure

    Active ingredient: levocetirizine dihydrochloride, 5 ml of syrup contains 2.5 mg.

    Excipients: sugar, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate Trilon B, sodium, citric acid, sorbitol solution, orange dye RS 15215, purified water.

    Contraindications

    Hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, cetirizine, hydroxyzine, to any other piperazine derivatives or to any other excipient of the drug.

    Severe chronic renal failure.

    Mode of application

    The drug is prescribed for adults and children over 2 years of age.

    Can be taken with or without food.

    For adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, the recommended daily dose is 5 mg once a day.

    Elderly patients with normal renal function do not require dose adjustment of the drug.

    Patients with impaired renal function should calculate the dose individually, taking into account creatinine clearance.

    Levocetirizine is contraindicated during pregnancy.

    Cetirizine passes into breast milk, therefore, if necessary, use of the drug, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

    Overdose

    Overdose symptoms may include drowsiness in adults and initial agitation and irritability followed by drowsiness in children.

    Hemodialysis is not effective for removing levocetirizine from the body.

    Concomitant use of cetirizine or levocetirizine and alcohol or other central nervous system depressants in vulnerable patients may cause an additional decrease in alertness and ability to perform work.

    Studies on cetirizine have shown that concomitant use with antipyrine, azithromycin, cimetidine, diazepam, erythromycin, glipizide, ketoconazole or pseudoephedrine has no clinically significant adverse interactions.
