Product description

Co-Valodip tablets are indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adult patients whose blood pressure is properly controlled with a combination of amlodipine, valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide and who use three separate drugs or two drugs, one of which is combined.

Compound

Active ingredient: amlodipine in the form of amlodipine besylate, valsartan, hydrochlorothiazide;

1 coated tablet contains 5 mg of amlodipine as amlodipine besylate, 160 mg of valsartan and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide or 10 mg of amlodipine as amlodipine besylate, 160 mg of valsartan and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide, or 10 mg of amlodipine as amlodipine besylate, 160 mg valsartan and 25 mg hydrochlorothiazide;

Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose (type 200), mannitol, magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium, povidone K 25, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate;

Film sheath: polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol 3350, titanium dioxide (E 171), talc, yellow iron oxide (E 172) (only for dosing 10 mg / 160 mg / 25 mg), iron oxide red (E 172) (only for dosing 10 mg / 160 mg / 12.5 mg).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to active ingredients, other sulfonamides, dihydropyridine derivatives or to an excipient.

Pregnancy or planning a pregnancy.

Liver dysfunction, biliary cirrhosis or cholestasis.

Severe renal dysfunction (glomerular filtration rate (GFR) <30 ml / min / 1.73 m2), anuria, and dialysis.

Simultaneous use with products containing aliskiren in patients with diabetes mellitus or with impaired renal function (GFR <60 ml / min / 1.73 m2).

Refractory hypokalemia, hyponatremia, hypercalcemia, symptomatic hyperuricemia.

Severe hypotension.

Shock (including cardiogenic shock).

Left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (eg, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy and severe aortic stenosis).

Hemodynamically unstable heart failure after acute myocardial infarction.

Mode of application

Co-Valodip can be used with or without food. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water at the same time of day, preferably in the morning.

Children

There is no appropriate use of Co-Valodip in children under the age of 18 for the indication of essential hypertension.

Overdose

There is no evidence of an overdose of the preparation amlodipine / valsartan / hydrochlorothiazide. The main symptom of an overdose is severe arterial hypotension with dizziness. An overdose of amlodipine can lead to severe peripheral vasodilation and, possibly, reflex tachycardia. Severe and potential prolonged systemic hypotension has been reported, including fatal shock with amlodipine.

From the side of metabolism and nutrition: anorexia, hypercalcemia, hyperlipidemia, hyperuricemia, hypokalemia, hyponatremia;
from the side of the psyche: insomnia / sleep disturbance;
from the nervous system: impaired coordination, dizziness, postural dizziness, dizziness on exertion, dysgeusia, headache, lethargy, paresthesia, peripheral neuropathy, neuropathy, drowsiness, syncope;
on the part of the organ of vision: visual impairment;
from the organ of hearing: vertigo;
from the side of the heart: tachycardia;
from the vascular system: arterial hypotension, orthostatic hypotension, phlebitis, thrombophlebitis;
from the respiratory tract, mediastinal and chest organs: cough, dyspnea, throat irritation;
from the digestive tract: abdominal discomfort, pain in the upper abdomen, bad breath, diarrhea, dry mouth, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting;
on the part of the skin and its derivatives: hyperhidrosis, itching;
from the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue: back pain, joint swelling, muscle spasms, muscle weakness, myalgia, pain in the limbs;
from the kidneys and urinary system: increased plasma creatinine levels, polakiuria, acute renal failure;
from the reproductive system: impotence;
general disorders: abasia, gait disturbance, asthenia, discomfort, malaise, weakness, non-cardiac chest pain, edema;
examination: an increase in the level of urea nitrogen, an increase in the level of uric acid in the blood, a decrease in the level of potassium in the blood plasma, an increase in body weight.

Interaction

Interaction studies of the combined preparation amlodipine / valsartan / hydrochlorothiazide with other drugs have not been conducted.

Storage conditions

The medicinal product does not need special storage conditions. Keep out of the reach of children.
