    Method of application and dose.

The dosage regimen should be determined individually, taking into account the severity of the disease and the patient's response to the treatment applied.
Depending on the individual clinical picture, the recommended dose should be increased gradually.
Corinfar 10 mg long-acting film-coated tablets (i.e. with a low dose of nifedipine) are indicated primarily in patients with arterial hypertension with severe cerebrovascular disease, as well as in patients with hypersensitivity to nifedipine, underweight or in patients who use antihypertensive preparations.
The initial and maintenance dose in all cases is 1 tablet 2 times a day. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 2-4 tablets 2 times a day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 80 mg.
Patients with hepatic insufficiency need constant monitoring, it is possible to reduce the dose of the preparation.
Tablets should be taken without chewing, after meals, with a sufficient amount of liquid (except grapefruit juice), preferably in the morning and evening at the same time.
Eating with the tablet slows down but does not decrease absorption.
The interval between taking the preparation should be at least 4:00. The recommended interval between taking the preparation is 12:00 (morning and evening). The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor.
Due to the possibility of rebound syndrome, therapy with the use of the preparation should be stopped gradually, especially in cases of taking the preparation in high doses and with long-term treatment.
The extended-release tablets should not be split as the protection from light guaranteed by the protective coating is then no longer provided.
    Children.
The safety and efficacy of nifedipine in children (under 18 years of age) has not been established, therefore nifedipine should not be given to children.
