    Product description

    Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic agent.

    Indications for use

    • inflammatory and degenerative forms of rheumatism: rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, including spondyloarthritis;
    • pain syndromes from the spine;
    • rheumatic diseases of extra-articular soft tissues;
    • acute attack of gout;
    • post-traumatic and postoperative pain syndromes accompanied by inflammation and swelling, in particular after dental and orthopedic operations;
    • migraine attacks;
    • gynecological diseases accompanied by pain and inflammation, such as primary dysmenorrhea and adnexitis;
    • as an auxiliary agent in severe inflammatory diseases of the ENT organs, which are accompanied by a painful sensation, for example, in pharyngitis, tonsillitis, otitis.

    Composition

    1 suppository contains diclofenac sodium 100 mg (0.1 g);
    excipient: solid fat.


    Contraindication

    • hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any excipient;
    • bleeding or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract in the anamnesis associated with previous treatment with NSAIDs;
    • active ulcer disease/bleeding or history of recurrent ulcer disease/bleeding (two or more separate episodes of established ulceration or bleeding);
    • inflammatory bowel diseases (for example, Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis);
    • III trimester of pregnancy;
    • proctitis

    Application method

    The initial dose is usually 100-150 mg per day. With unexpressed symptoms, as well as with long-term therapy, a dose of 75-100 mg/day is sufficient.

    Features of application

    Concomitant use of diclofenac with systemic NSAIDs, such as cyclooxygenase-2 selective inhibitors, should be avoided due to lack of any evidence of a synergistic effect and due to potential additive side effects.
    pregnant
    In the I and II trimesters of pregnancy, the preparation Diclofenac can be prescribed only when the expected benefit for the pregnant woman exceeds the potential risk for the fetus, and only in the minimum effective dose; the duration of treatment should be as short as possible.
    Diclofenac is contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy.
    Children
    The preparation is not used for children.
    Drivers
    Patients who experience visual disturbances, dizziness, vertigo, drowsiness, disturbances from the central nervous system, lethargy or fatigue during treatment with Diclofenac should not drive vehicles or work with complex mechanisms.

    Overdose

    Overdose may cause vomiting, gastrointestinal bleeding, diarrhea, dizziness, tinnitus, and convulsions. Acute renal failure and liver damage are possible in case of severe intoxication. Treatment of acute NSAID poisoning consists of supportive and symptomatic therapy.

    Side effects

    From the blood and lymphatic system: thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, anemia (hemolytic anemia, aplastic anemia), agranulocytosis.
    From the side of the immune system: hypersensitivity, anaphylactic and anaphylactoid reactions (including arterial hypotension and shock); angioedema (including facial edema).
    Mental disorders: disorientation, depression, insomnia, irritability, nightmares, psychotic disorders.
    From the side of the nervous system: headache, dizziness; drowsiness, fatigue; paresthesias, memory impairment, convulsions, anxiety, tremors, aseptic meningitis, taste disorders, stroke; confusion, hallucinations, impaired sensitivity, general malaise.

    Storage conditions

    Store in a place inaccessible to children at a temperature not higher than 25°C.
