1 coated tablet contains
dienogest 2 mg;
excipients: lactose, corn starch, (K-30), sodium starch (type A), magnesium stearate, purified water film coating: hypromellose (E 464), hydroxypropyl cellulose (E 463), talc (E 553b), hydrogenated cottonseed oil , titanium dioxide (E 171), purified water.
Take 1 tablet daily without interruption in taking the preparation at approximately the same time with a small amount of liquid. The tablets can be taken with or without food.
Tablets should be taken regularly, regardless of menstrual bleeding. As soon as the tablets from one package are over, start taking the tablets from the next package without interrupting the use of the preparation.
There is no experience of treating patients with endometriosis with Dimetrio for more than 15 months.
You can start taking the preparation on any day of the menstrual cycle.
The use of any hormonal contraceptives should be discontinued prior to initiation of therapy with Dimetrio. If contraception is needed, a non-hormonal method of preventing pregnancy (such as a barrier method) should be used additionally.
Since Dimetrio is a progestogen-only preparation, it is believed that special precautions and precautions for the use of progestin-only preparations also apply to Dimetrio, although not all warnings and precautions are based on the relevant results of clinical studies of this particular preparation.
In case of worsening or first occurrence of any of the following conditions/risk factors, a risk/benefit analysis should be carried out on an individual basis before starting or continuing to use Dimetrio.
Severe uterine bleeding
Uterine bleeding, for example, in women with uterine adenomyosis or uterine leiomyoma may increase with Dimetrio. If the bleeding is severe and does not stop for a long time, it can lead to anemia (in some cases, severe). In this case, you need to consider stopping the preparation.

Dimetrio is not recommended for pregnant women, as there is no need to treat endometriosis during pregnancy.
Children
Dimetrio is not indicated for use in children before menarche.

Acute toxicity studies conducted with Dienogest did not indicate the risk of developing acute adverse reactions in case of unintentional intake of several daily therapeutic doses. There are no specific antidotes. The use of 20-30 mg of dienogest per day (which is 10-15 times higher than the dose in a Dimetrio tablet) for more than 24 weeks was very well tolerated.
