Product description

"Elkocin ®" tablets are used for the following indications: gastric ulcer, acute gastritis, period of exacerbation of chronic gastritis, pathological changes of the gastric mucosa (erosion, bleeding, hyperemia, edema).

Storage

The active ingredient is rebamipide (one tablet contains 100 mg of rebamipide).

Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, low-substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate; coating mixture: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, titanium dioxide (E 171), polyethylene glycol (macrogol).

Contraindication

hypersensitivity to rebamipide or to any other components of the preparation;

malignant diseases of the stomach.

Application method

For oral use.

Gastric ulcer: adults - 100 mg (one tablet) 3 times a day in the morning, afternoon and evening.

To improve the condition of acute gastritis in the period of exacerbation of chronic gastritis, with pathological changes of the gastric mucosa (erosions, bleeding, hyperemia, edema): adults - 100 mg 3 times a day (one tablet).

Since the safety of the use of rebamipide during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been proven, the preparation is contraindicated.

Since rebamipide passes into breast milk, breast-feeding should be stopped when using the preparation.

Children

The preparation should not be prescribed to children, as research on its use in this age category has not been conducted.

Drivers

When taking rebamipide, dizziness, drowsiness may occur. In such cases, you should refrain from driving a motor vehicle, working with mechanisms, as well as from engaging in other types of activities that require increased attention and quick reaction.

Overdose

Cases of overdose have not been described. Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea or constipation, headache, increased manifestations of adverse reactions are possible.

In case of overdose, the stomach should be washed and symptomatic therapy prescribed. There is no specific antidote.

Side effects

The side effects that occurred infrequently (> 1/1000 and <1/100) are listed below.

From the blood and lymphatic system: leukopenia, granulocytopenia.

From the side of the digestive system: an increase in the level of liver enzymes AST, ALT, gammaglutamyltransferase, LFC and other liver function disorders.

From the side of the immune system: rash, itching, preparation-induced eczema, other allergic symptoms.

From the gastrointestinal tract: constipation, feeling of distension and fullness in the stomach, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal pain, belching air, taste disturbances.

From the genitourinary system: violation of the menstrual cycle in women.

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not higher than 25 °C, in a place inaccessible to children.

Shelf life - 2.5 years.
