Enterogermina ® is a probiotic containing spores of a multidrug-resistant strain of Bacillus clausii, an antidiarrheal preparation for the restoration of intestinal microflora.
The spores of Bacillus clausii present in the preparation are usually present in the intestine and do not show pathogenic activity. Thanks to the action of Bacillus clausii, the preparation restores the intestinal microflora suppressed as a result of treatment with preparations that lead to dysbiosis. In addition, due to the ability of Bacillus clausii to synthesize various vitamins, especially of group B, the preparation helps to correct dysvitaminosis caused by the use of antibiotics or chemotherapy preparations. Can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Treatment and prevention of intestinal dysbiosis and associated endogenous dysvitaminosis.
A therapy aimed at restoring normal intestinal microflora, which is disturbed during treatment with antibiotics or chemotherapy preparations.
Acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases associated with intestinal intoxication or dysbiosis and dysvitaminosis in infants who are fed with breast milk.
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Probiotics are preparations containing microorganisms that are normally present in the intestinal microflora of a healthy person. Probiotics have several functions in the human body:
Suppression of pathogenic microflora;
Restoration of normal microflora;
Synthesis of vitamins, mainly of group B.
The antimicrobial effect of probiotics containing Bacillus clausii begins within 2 hours.
The use of a probiotic reduces the following side effects from the 1st day of taking the antibiotic:
Abdominal pain;
The probiotic has immunomodulatory activity.
The bacteria of the Bacillus clausii strain contained in probiotics are among the most studied probiotic microorganisms.
They are:
Resistant to gastric juice, bile acids, antibacterial preparations.
They have a studied mechanism of action and a proven high safety profile.
Microorganisms of the Bacillus clausii strain are recommended by the World Gastroenterological Organization and are approved for use during pregnancy and lactation.
