Pharmacodynamics. Enterosgel is an inert organic silicon compound. When applied, it has a sorption effect. The preparation effectively adsorbs medium-molecular toxic substances of exo- and endogenous origin, products of incomplete metabolism, incorporated radionuclides and naturally removes them from the body.
Enterosgel eliminates the manifestations of toxicosis, improves the function of the intestines, liver, kidneys, and normalizes the physiological parameters of blood and urine.
Pharmacokinetics. Enveloping the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, Enterosgel protects it from erosive processes, improves local immunity.
Enterosgel is not absorbed from the intestines and does not undergo metabolic or chemical transformations.
As part of complex detoxification therapy for chronic renal failure caused by pyelonephritis, polycystic kidney disease, nephrolithiasis; with toxic hepatitis, viral hepatitis a and b, hepatocholecystitis, liver cirrhosis and cholestasis of various etiologies, gastritis with low acidity, enterocolitis, colitis, diarrhea; in case of poisoning with alcohol and preparations; allergic reactions, skin diseases (diathesis, neurodermatitis), with burn intoxication; purulent-septic processes, which are accompanied by intoxication; toxicosis of pregnant women in the first half of pregnancy; in the complex therapy of intestinal dysbiosis.
Take orally 3 times a day, 1.5-2 hours before or 2 hours after meals or taking medications, drinking plenty of water.
For adults and children over the age of 14, a single dose is 15 g (tablespoon), the daily dose is 45 g.
For children from birth to 5 years: a single dose is 5 g (teaspoon), daily dose is 15 g; at the age of 5-14 years - a single dose - 10 g (dessert spoon), daily dose - 30 g.
The course of treatment is from 7 to 14 days In severe forms of the disease during the first three days, it is possible to use a double single dose, and in the chronic course of the disease (chronic renal failure), a longer (up to 1 month) use of the preparation is possible.

When taking the preparation, dyspeptic symptoms are possible. in the first days of taking the preparation, constipation may develop. to prevent it for people prone to constipation, in the first 2 days of taking the preparation, a cleansing enema at night or the use of laxatives (lactulose, sodium picosulfate) is recommended. hypersensitivity reactions are possible.
Provided that the method of application is observed (enterosgel and preparations are taken at intervals of 1.5–2 hours), the preparation can be used in complex therapy with other preparations and prophylactic agents, including prebiotics and probiotics (bifidum-, lactobacilli), phytopreparations, adaptogens, immunomodulators.
Use during pregnancy and lactation. The preparation can be used during pregnancy and lactation. The use of pregnant women who are prone to constipation should be limited.
The preparation is used in children from birth. For children under 2 years of age, before use, a single dose of the preparation is mixed with a small amount of water.

The preparation can reduce the effect of other preparations that are used with it. concomitant use with preparations belonging to the class of bile acid sequestrants, such as cholestyramine, is not recommended due to the increased likelihood of constipation.

Cases of preparation overdose have not been described. overdose may increase side effects.
