Envil Katar is a medicine in the form of a solution that contains two active substances: mepyramine in the form of maleate and phenylephrine in the form of hydrochloride. Mepyramine has an antihistamine and antiallergic effect, and phenylephrine reduces congestion of the mucosa and clears the nose and paranasal sinuses. In addition, the excipient cetalkonium chloride contained in the preparation has antibacterial properties.
Envil Katar nasal spray relieves a runny nose and facilitates breathing and can be used in the treatment of rhinitis in the course of rhinitis, sinusitis or in case of allergies.
Rhinitis (runny nose) occurring in:
1 ml of nasal spray contains:
Antihistamine, antiallergic, antibacterial.
Adults and children over 6 years of age: 2 doses in each nasal passage every 4 to 6 hours.
A single spray dose contains 0.15 mg of mepyramine maleate and 0.25 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride.
Do not use the preparation more than 5 times a day and for more than 3 days.
Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Envil Katar, like any other medicine, can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Possible side effects that may occur while taking the preparation:

The dose may need to be changed or treatment interrupted when the following medicines are used:
barbiturates, sleeping pills and sedatives, atropine, tricyclic antidepressants (Envil Katar may increase their effects),
some beta-blockers, such as esmolol, may increase the effect of phenylephrine, which may lead to severe hypertension in some patients,
monoamine oxidase inhibitors such as selegiline, moclobemide, amiflamine prolong and increase the effect of Envil Katar.

Long-term use of the preparation may cause symptoms of nasal congestion and the occurrence of preparation-induced rhinitis.
The preparation can be used regardless of food and drink.
The preparation may increase the effects of alcohol.
The preparation has a minor or moderate influence on the ability to drive and use machines (if you experience headache, dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive or operate machinery).
The preparation contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate and may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed-type reactions).
The preparation may cause slight irritation to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
