indications:

- Symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal disorders associated with excessive accumulation of gases such as bloating or increased gas formation in the gastrointestinal tract in the postoperative period.
- Incidentally, in abdominal diagnostic tests (e.g. to reduce gas-induced shadows in radiological and ultrasound examinations; endoscopic examinations; as an addition to a suspension of contrast medium).

Features:

The active substance in Espumisan is symethicon-stable, surface-active polydimethylsiloxane. It reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles contained in food masses and in gastrointestinal mucus, causing them to burst. Thanks to this, the gases released in this way can be absorbed through the intestinal wall or removed from the gastrointestinal tract as a result of intestinal peristaltic movements.
Simethicone only has a surface effect and does not undergo any chemical reactions. Is a pharmacologically inert substance.
Simethicone is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract after oral administration and is excreted unchanged.

Contraindications:

Do not use if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance simethicone or to any of the other excipients of Espumisan.

Usage:

The dose can be measured using a dropper or dosing spoon with ml graduations.
25 drops correspond to 1 ml (or 100 mg simethicone).
