    Product description

    Esseliv forte is a preparation without a prescription in the form of hard capsules for oral use, indicated in acute and chronic liver diseases (including chronic hepatitis and liver damage after alcohol, preparations, toxins). It can also be used as an auxiliary in the treatment of functional disorders of the liver, bile ducts and gallstone disease.
    Esseliv forte contains essential phospholipids (Phospholipidum essentiale) obtained from soybeans. The component of phospholipes is polynylphosphatidylcholine - a substance containing polyunsaturated fatty acids. The phospholipids present in Esseliv forte get into the liver, where they are able to integrate into the membranes of liver cells and contribute to the replenishment of the existing deficiencies caused by the disease, and affect damaged liver cells, accelerating their renewal (regeneration).

    Indications

    • Acute and chronic liver diseases, including: chronic hepatitis, toxic and preparation-induced liver damage, alcoholic liver damage.
    • Adjunctively in the treatment of functional disorders of the liver, bile ducts and gallstone disease.

    Composition

    1 hard capsule contains:
    • active substance: phospholipids from soybeans (Phospholipidum essentiale) 300 mg,
    • other ingredients: soybean oil, hydrogenated fat, vanillin. Ingredients in a hard gelatin capsule: gelatin, indigo carmine (E 132), red iron oxide (E 172), titanium dioxide (E 171), yellow iron oxide (E 172).

    Action

    The phospholipids contained in the preparation replenish the existing defects caused by the disease in the membranes of hepatic cells and contribute to faster regeneration of damaged liver cells.

    Dosage

    Always use Esseliv forte exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
    • Adults: 2 capsules (600 mg) 3 times a day. Do not use more than 6 capsules (1800 mg) a day. After 2-3 months of treatment, use a maintenance dose: 1 capsule (300 mg) 3 times a day.
    • Babies: use a dose of 300 mg for 10 kg of body weight. per day (1 capsule per 10 kg of body weight). On average, 3 to 6 capsules (900 mg to 1800 mg) are used daily. Do not use more than 6 capsules a day (1800 mg).
    The preparation should be taken orally with a meal. If the child cannot swallow the capsule, squeeze the capsule content into a small amount of warm milk or water. The preparation should be used for a minimum of 3 months. If there is no improvement or the patient feels worse after 3 months, a doctor should be consulted. If you take more than the recommended dose, contact your doctor immediately. There are no data on preparation overdose. Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

    Contraindications

    Do not use if you are allergic to soybean phospholipids or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.

    Storage

    Keep the preparation out of the sight and reach of children.
    Store in the original package at a temperature below 25 ° C. Do not freeze.
    Do not use this medicine after the expiry date (EXP) which is stated on the blister and carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
    Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines no longer needed. Such behavior will help to protect the environment.

    Side effects

    This preparation, like all medicines, can cause side effects, which does not mean that everybody gets them. The following side effects may occur:
    Uncommon (affects 1 to 10 in 1,000 people):
    • mild gastrointestinal symptoms: nausea, loosened stools, abdominal discomfort.

    Interactions

    Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the preparations you are taking or have recently taken, and about any preparations you plan to take.
    Interactions of Esseliv forte with other preparations are not known.

    Warnings and Precautions

    Pregnancy and breastfeeding
    • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
    • Adequate studies on the safety of the preparation during pregnancy and breastfeeding have not been performed.
    Driving vehicles and operating machinery
    • The preparation does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
    Esseliv forte contains soybean oil
    • Due to the content of soybean oil, do not use the preparation in the case of known hypersensitivity to peanuts or soy.

    A cheaper alternative to Essentiale Forte, contains 50 capsules, I usually buy larger quantities every 3 months to save on shipping costs. Two people use it at home, there are no side effects, rather it helps.

    A very good drug. With regular use, the pain in the right side caused by the burden of the liver, e.g. by taking other medications, disappears. My mother uses it regularly. I also took it while on isotretinoin to protect my liver.

    A good substitute instead of a drug called Essentiale Forte. The same dose is taken. Esselive forte is a drug containing phospholipids from soybean seeds, whose component is polyenylphosphatidylcholine. The preparation supports the treatment of functional disorders of the liver, bile ducts and gallstones. Always read the medicine leaflet.

    The purchase was not for me but for an elderly couple struggling with various ailments. Of course, doctors suggested Essentiale Forte, but due to its price both in stationary and online pharmacies, I was forced to look for something cheaper with the same effect. I have ordered Esseliv Forte many times and judging by the reactions of users, it works effectively.
