Sachet powder for oral solution Eucabal 200 is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the bronchopulmonary system, requiring a decrease in the viscosity of sputum, improving its discharge and expectoration.
Active substance: acetylcysteine;
1 sachet contains 200 mg of acetylcysteine;
Excipients: sucrose, orange flavor, colloidal silicon dioxide, tartaric acid, sodium chloride.
Hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine or any of the excipients. Peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage, hemoptysis, pulmonary hemorrhage.
Age up to 6 years.
The preparation is recommended to be taken after meals dissolved in ½ glass of water, juice or cold tea. After preparing the solution, you need to drink it as soon as possible. Additional fluid intake enhances the mucolytic effect of the preparation.
The duration of treatment for chronic diseases is determined by the doctor, depending on the nature and course of the disease. In acute uncomplicated diseases, acetylcysteine is used for 5-7 days.
Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and adolescents over 14 years of age should take 1 sachet of powder 2-3 times a day (corresponds to 400-600 mg of acetylcysteine per day).
Pregnant
The use of acetylcysteine is possible only if the intended benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child.
Children
Use in children under 6 years of age is contraindicated. Children aged 6 to 14 years take 1 sachet of powder twice a day (corresponds to 400 mg of acetylcysteine per day).
Drivers
There is no confirmation that acetylcysteine affects the ability to drive and other mechanisms.
Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Children are at risk of hypersecretion.
Treatment is symptomatic.

Acetylcysteine reduces the hepatotoxic effect of paracetamol.
There is a synergism of acetylcysteine with bronchodilators.
