The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride. 5 ml of syrup (1 measuring spoon) contains 30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride. The other ingredients are: liquid sorbitol, crystallizing (70%) (E 420), glycerol (E 422), citric acid monohydrate (E 330), propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), flavor raspberry, liquid 549 287 A, purified water.
Ambroxol, the active substance of the drug, acts as an expectorant and mucolytic (it thins mucus). It increases the amount of mucus in the respiratory tract, reduces its viscosity, accelerates the transport of secretions in the respiratory tract, which facilitates expectoration and soothes coughs.
Adults and children over 12 years of age: For the first 2-3 days, use 5 ml of the syrup (1 measuring spoon) 3 times a day; then the dose should be reduced to 5 ml of syrup (1 measuring spoon) twice a day. Children from 6 to 12 years of age: 2.5 ml of syrup (1/2 measuring spoon) 2 to 3 times a day. Children aged 2 to 6 years: 1.25 ml of syrup (1/4 measuring spoon) 3 times a day.
If you are allergic to ambroxol, bromhexine or any of the other ingredients of the drug, if you experience any changes in the skin or mucous membranes, see your doctor immediately and stop taking Flegamina ambroxol. It is not recommended to use the drug during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. Ambroxol passes into breast milk, it is not recommended to use the drug during breastfeeding. Flegamina ambroxolum contains sorbitol (E 420). 5 ml of syrup contains 2.25 g of sorbitol. If you have been diagnosed with an intolerance to some sugars, the patient should consult a doctor before taking the drug. The drug may have a mild laxative effect. Caloric value of 2.6 kcal / g of sorbitol. Do not use in children without consulting a doctor.
