Floxal is indicated for the treatment of infections of the anterior segment of the eye caused by pathogens susceptible to ofloxacin, such as bacterial inflammation of the conjunctiva, cornea of the eye, edges of the eyelids and lacrimal sac, barley and corneal ulcer.

Ofloxacin, a quinolone acid derivative, is a fluoroquinolone (gyrase inhibitor), an antibiotic, and has a bactericidal effect.

Method of administration and dosage
The dose of the preparation and the duration of treatment are always determined by the doctor, depending on the severity of the disease and the age of the patient.
Unless otherwise prescribed, Floxal® eye drops should be injected into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 1 drop 4 times a day. The duration of treatment with Floxal, eye drops should not exceed 2 weeks.

Children
Floxal ®, eye drops, can be prescribed to children from 1 year old.
Despite the lack of evidence of any embryotoxic effects, Floxal ® eye drops, if possible, should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.
