For children over the age of 1 year, a thin layer of ointment is applied a maximum of 2 times a day to the affected area of \u200b\u200bthe skin. The duration of the preparation  in children should not exceed 5 days. The use of an occlusive dressing in children is contraindicated.
Elderly people should use the preparation carefully and for a short time, since it should be borne in mind that in this category of patients the skin is thinner.

Hypersensitivity to triamcinolone acetonide or any excipient of the preparation.
The preparation should not be used in the eyes or on the skin around the eyes.

    Side effects

For glucocorticosteroid preparations when applied topically, side effects of a local nature are characteristic, however, depending on the amount of the substance that has entered the systemic circulation, systemic effects are possible.
With prolonged use on large surfaces, it is possible to suppress the function of the adrenal cortex, especially in children, as well as when using occlusive dressings; a negative nitrogen balance is possible due to increased protein breakdown.
From the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions.
From the side of water and electrolyte metabolism: inhibition of the function of the adrenal cortex (secondary insufficiency of the adrenal cortex), hypokalemic alkalosis, water and sodium retention in the body, hypokalemia, hypertension.
From the side of the central nervous system: mental disorders, convulsions, dizziness, headache, increased intracranial pressure, insomnia.
On the part of the organ of vision: cataract, posterior subcapsular cataract, exophthalmos, glaucoma, edema of the optic nerve papilla, corneal ulcer, exophthalmos. Children are more likely to develop cataracts.
From the side of the cardiovascular system: heart failure, arterial hypertension.
From the digestive system: gastric bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding, gastrointestinal perforation, esophagitis, pancreatitis, ulcer.
On the part of the skin: dermatitis, burning, folliculitis, acneiform rash, contact dermatitis, dryness and thinning of the skin, erythema, hirsutism, increased sweating, diaper rash, itching, skin atrophy, hypopigmentation, irritation, striae, telangiectasia, delayed wound healing.
From the musculoskeletal system: growth retardation in children, steroid myopathy, osteoporosis, osteonecrosis, aseptic necrosis.
Laboratory abnormalities: increased intraocular pressure, negative nitrogen balance, slower reactions in skin tests.
Infections and parasitic diseases: activation of latent infections, masking of the course of infections, opportunistic infections.

    special instructions

If skin irritation occurs, the use of Fluorocort ointment should be discontinued and treatment should be continued with another preparation.
When using occlusive dressings and treating large surfaces of the body, a systemic effect of the preparation is possible - in such cases, special care is required.
When applying the ointment, microorganisms on the skin (primarily pyogenic microorganisms, sometimes blastomycetes) can penetrate the loosened stratum corneum and cause various pyodermas, which are treated with disinfectants that are washed off. Fungal diseases are possible, sometimes bruising may appear under the occlusive dressing. With prolonged use of the ointment on the same part of the body, especially in young patients, atrophy of this area of \u200b\u200bthe skin may develop.
Some areas of the body, such as the armpits, inguinal folds (where there is natural occlusion and the skin is more delicate and thin) are more prone to the development of stretch marks and easily noticeable atrophy of this area of the skin, which is irreversible. Therefore, the use of ointment on these areas of the skin should be short.
In the event of a fungal or bacterial infection of the skin, additional application of local or systemic therapy is necessary.
It is not recommended to use the ointment on the scalp.
Prolonged use of the preparation on the skin of the face is not recommended due to the risk of skin atrophy. Avoid getting the preparation in the eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of running water and seek medical advice.
In the treatment of psoriasis, withdrawal syndrome, steroid dependence, the development of generalized pustular psoriasis and local or systemic toxicity due to impaired skin barrier function are possible. Treatment of patients with psoriasis with topical corticosteroids is possible only under the strict supervision of a physician.
The appointment of an ointment for children over the age of 1 year is possible only in exceptional cases. The duration of the preparation in children should not exceed 5 days. The use of an occlusive dressing in children is contraindicated.
In the case of use in children, it is necessary to take into account the possibility of signs of depression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system and Cushing's syndrome, which occur in children more often than in adult patients, due to a larger ratio of skin area to body weight, and, accordingly, children are more prone to systemic toxicity. In children treated with topical corticosteroids, acute adrenal insufficiency, Cushing's syndrome, and increased intracranial pressure were noted.
Use during pregnancy and lactation. The use of ointment in the first trimester of pregnancy is contraindicated. Data confirming the safety of the preparation during pregnancy in the II and III trimester is not enough. The question of the use of the preparation in the II and III trimester of pregnancy and during lactation is decided by the doctor in each case individually, carefully weighing the ratio of the expected effect of the treatment and the potential risk when the preparation  is exposed to the fetus.
The absorption of GCS into the circulatory system is accompanied by their penetration into breast milk and the effect on the adrenal cortex and the growth of the baby.
Children. In children under the age of 1 year, it is contraindicated to use the ointment.
The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms. There are no messages at the moment. However, when driving vehicles or other mechanisms, it is recommended to be especially careful, given the possibility of developing unwanted reactions from the nervous system.

    Interactions

With local use of corticosteroids, interaction with other preparations is unknown.

    Overdose

Depending on the amount of steroid that enters the body, both local and systemic adverse reactions may develop. in case of an overdose of the preparation, treatment should not be abruptly stopped, this is done gradually, reducing the dose of the preparation. with the development of symptoms of insufficiency of the adrenal cortex, intravenous administration of hydrocortisone may be required.

    Storage conditions
