    Pharmacological properties

    Glycine - a nonessential amino acid (natural metabolite), is a neurotransmitter of an inhibitory type of action and a regulator of metabolic processes in the central nervous system, reduces psycho-emotional stress, increases mental performance, has a neuroprotective, anti-stress, sedative effect, improves metabolic processes in brain tissues, normalizes sleep, reduces toxic effects alcohol. not addictive.

    Easily penetrates into most biological fluids and body tissues, including the brain. It is rapidly broken down in the liver by glycine oxidase to water and carbon dioxide. The accumulation of glycine in the tissues does not occur.

    Indications

    Functional and organic diseases of the nervous system (neuroses, neurosis-like states, vegetative-vascular dystonia, the consequences of neuroinfection, traumatic brain injury, perinatal and other forms of encephalopathy, including alcoholic genesis), accompanied by increased excitability, emotional instability, decreased mental performance, sleep disturbance.

    Ischemic stroke and cerebrovascular accident.

    As an aid in the treatment of alcoholism.

    Application

    The preparation glycised is used in tablets or in powder form after crushing the tablet bucally (by placing it behind the cheek or in the mouth) or sublingually (under the tongue). the tablet is kept in the mouth until it is completely dissolved.

    Children over the age of 3 years, adolescents, adults with a decrease in mental performance Glycised is prescribed 1 tablet (100 mg) 2-3 times a day for 14-30 days.

    The maximum daily dose is 300 mg.

    Children over the age of 3 years and adults with increased excitability, emotional lability are prescribed 1 tablet 2-3 times a day, the course of treatment is 7-14 days. If necessary, repeat the course of therapy.

    For sleep disorders, appoint 50-100 mg 20 minutes before bedtime or immediately before bedtime.

    In ischemic stroke and cerebrovascular accidents, 1 g of the preparation is prescribed retrobucally or sublingually (if necessary, grind the tablet) for the first 3-6 hours after the development of a stroke, then for 1-5 days, 1 g / day, then for 6 –30 days - 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.

    In the treatment of alcoholism, it is prescribed as an adjuvant, 1 tablet 2-3 times a day for 14-30 days. If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated 4–6 times a year.

    Contraindications

    Individual intolerance to the preparation and hypersensitivity to its individual components; arterial hypotension. children up to age 3 years.

    Side effects

    The preparation is usually well tolerated. with individual hypersensitivity, allergic reactions may develop, as well as rash, itching, urticaria, rhinitis, sore throat, conjunctivitis, weakness.

    From the gastrointestinal tract, it is possible to develop dyspeptic phenomena, including epigastric pain, nausea.

    On the part of the nervous system, isolated cases of decreased concentration of attention, headache, tension, irritability were noted.

    Special instructions

    In patients prone to arterial hypotension, it is necessary to control the level of blood pressure and, if necessary, adjust the dose of the preparation- glycised is prescribed in low doses and subject to regular monitoring of blood pressure. when the blood pressure drops below the usual level, the preparation is discontinued.

    Use during pregnancy and lactation. The effect of Glycised on the body during pregnancy or lactation has not been studied in detail, therefore the use of the preparation is not recommended.

    Children. The preparation  is used in children over the age of 3 years.

    The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving or working with other mechanisms. Care must be taken when driving or operating other machinery, as well as engaging in potentially hazardous activities.

    Interactions

    Glycised reduces the toxicity of anticonvulsants, antipsychotic preparations, antidepressants. when combined with hypnotics, tranquilizers and antipsychotic preparations, the effect of inhibition of the central nervous system is enhanced.

    Overdose

    There is no information about the clinical manifestations of an overdose.
