    Product description

    Soft capsules Gofen 200 is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of headache, toothache and menstrual pain. Fever.

    Structure

    Active substance: ibuprofen;
    1 soft capsule contains ibuprofen 200 mg;
    Excipients: polyethylene glycol 600, potassium hydroxide, purified water
    gelatin capsule: gelatin, sorbitol solution does not crystallize (E 420), purified water.

    Contraindications

    • hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or to any of the components of the preparation;
    • bronchospasm, asthma, rhinitis, or skin rashes associated with the use of acetylsalicylic acid or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory preparations (NSAIDs);
    • history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation after use of NSAIDs;
    • peptic ulcer / bleeding at present or in history (two or more distinct episodes of exacerbation of peptic ulcer or bleeding);
    • severe renal, heart, or hepatic impairment;
    • simultaneous use with other NSAIDs, including selective inhibitors of COX-2 (COX-2).

    Mode of application

    The preparation is recommended for adults and children over 12 years of age, the initial dose is 1-2 soft capsules (200-400 mg), then, if necessary, 1-2 soft capsules (200-400 mg) every 4-6 hours. Do not exceed 6 capsules in a 24 hour period. The maximum daily dose is 1200 mg.
    Soft capsules are usually taken with meals, without chewing, with water.
    Elderly patients do not need a special dose selection.
    If the symptoms of the disease persist for more than 3 days, it is necessary to consult a doctor to clarify the diagnosis and correct the treatment regimen.

    Application features

    Pregnant
    During the I-II trimester of pregnancy, ibuprofen is used only when, in the opinion of the doctor, the benefit to the mother significantly outweighs the possible risk to the fetus.
    Ibuprofen is contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.
    Children
    The preparation is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
    Drivers
    With short-term use, the preparation does not affect or slightly affects the ability to drive vehicles and work with mechanisms.

    Overdose

    Overdose symptoms may include: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nystagmus, blurred vision, tinnitus, and rarely arterial hypotension, metabolic acidosis, renal failure, and loss of consciousness.
    Treatment is symptomatic and supportive, aimed at ensuring the vital functions of the body to normalize the patient's condition. Recommended gastric lavage and oral administration of activated charcoal within 1 hour after the application of a potentially toxic dose of the preparation (more than 400 mg / kg). There are no specific antidotes.

    Side effects

    General disorders. Uncommon: severe hypersensitivity reactions with the following manifestations: swelling of the face, tongue and larynx, shortness of breath, tachycardia, decreased blood pressure (anaphylactic shock, Quincke's edema up to shock), aseptic meningitis. Exacerbation of asthma and bronchospasm.

    Interaction

    Digoxin: increases plasma levels of both preparations;
    Corticosteroids: increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration;
    Antithrombotic agents: the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding increases;
    Anticoagulants: NSAIDs can enhance the effect of anticoagulants such as warfarin;
    Antiplatelet and selective serotonin inhibitors: may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.

    Storage conditions
