    Product description

    Groprinosin Forte is a medicine in the form of a raspberry-flavored syrup with antiviral activity. The preparation additionally stimulates the activity of the immune system, increasing the body's resistance to infections. The active substance of the preparation is inosine in the form of pranobex, which inhibits the in vitro multiplication of herpes viruses pathogenic to humans.

    Groprinosin Forte syrup is used supportively in adults and children over 1 year of age with reduced immunity, in the case of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. The preparation is also used in the treatment of cold sores of the lips and skin of the face caused by the herpes simplex virus (Herpes simplex). Groprinosin Forte can only be used in patients who have been diagnosed with herpes simplex infection in the past.

    Indications

    Supportive in people with reduced immunity in the event of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections.
    Treatment of cold sores on the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus.

    Composition

    1 ml of syrup contains:
    active substance: inosine pranobex 10 mg,
    other ingredients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), liquid maltitol (E 965) (maltitol, sorbitol), sodium saccharin (E 954), sucralose (E 955), sodium hydroxide, citric acid monohydrate, water purified, raspberry flavor L-144739 (sugars, propylene glycol, ethanol, natural flavoring substances) and raspberry flavor 10721-31 (diethyl malonate, ethyl acetate, acetaldehyde, trans-2 hexanal, β-Damascenone, starch maltodextrin, acacia gum) .

    Action

    Antiviral and immunostimulating.

    Dosage

    Adults, including people over 65 years of age: usually 30 ml / 3 g of syrup per day (50 mg / kg of body weight per day / 0.5 ml of syrup per 1 kg of body weight per day), administered in 3 or 4 divided doses.
    The maximum dose is 4 g of inosine pranobex per day (i.e. 40 ml of syrup per day).
    Children over 1 year of age: depending on body weight (50 mg / kg of body weight per day / 0.5 ml of syrup per 1 kg of body weight per day) in 3 or 4 equal divided doses administered during the day:
    10-14 kg: 3 x 2.5 ml,
    15-20 kg: 3 x 2.5-3.5 ml,
    21-30 kg: 3 x 3.5-5 ml,
    31-40 kg: 3 x 5-7.5 ml,
    41-50 kg: 3 x 7.5-9 ml.
    The preparation should be used orally, measuring the appropriate dose using the measuring cup included in the package.
    The preparation should be taken for 5-14 days, and after the symptoms disappear, the use is usually continued for 1 to 2 more days. If after this time there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, please contact your doctor. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

    Contraindications

    You are allergic to inosine pranobex or any of the other ingredients of the medicine (signs of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue).
    The patient's current history of gout attacks or an increased level of uric acid in the blood on a test.
    The preparation should not be used in children under 1 year of age.

    Storage

    The preparation should be stored out of the sight and reach of children, at a temperature of up to 25°C.
    Do not refrigerate or freeze.
    After first opening the bottle, the medicine should be used within 3 months.
