    Product description

    Halset is a local disinfecting preparation used in inflammations of the mouth and throat. The active substance is cetylpyridinium chloride. Halset is bactericidal against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and against some fungi.

    Indications

    Preventive and therapeutic in light and medium-severe inflammation of the mouth and throat.

    Composition

    1 lozenge contains:

    active substances: 1.5 mg Cetylpyridinii chloridum (cetylpyridinium chloride monohydrate),

    excipients: sorbitol, peppermint oil, menthol, magnesium stearate. It does not contain sugar.

    Action

    The preparation helps fight gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and some fungi.

    Dosage

    Halset tablets should be taken orally, sucking slowly 1 tablet each.

    Adults and adolescents: suck 1 tablet every 2-3 hours (do not take more than 8 tablets a day).

    Children over 6 years of age: suck 1 tablet every 2-3 hours (not exceeding the amount of 6 tablets a day).

    Halset should not be used in children under 6 years of age.

    Using more Halset tablets than recommended may cause irritation of the oral mucosa, diarrhea (especially in children), nausea, vomiting. In the event of taking more than the recommended dose of the preparation, consult a physician or pharmacist. Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. If you have any further questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

    Contraindications

    The preparation should not be used if you are allergic to cetylpyridinium chloride or any of the excipients, or if you are allergic to fructose.

    Due to the possibility of choking with the Halset tablet, it should not be used in children.

    Storage

    Keep the preparation out of the sight and reach of children, at a temperature below 25 degrees C. Do not use this preparation after the expiry date which is stated on the box. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

    Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines no longer required. Such behavior will help to protect the environment.

    Side effects

    Taking more Halset than recommended may cause irritation of the oral mucosa, diarrhea (especially in children), vomiting and nausea.

    Rare side effects that may occur after taking Halset are allergic reactions, burning sensation in the mouth, nausea and transient taste disturbances.

    Interactions

    Before taking Halset, tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the preparations that the patient is taking or has recently taken, including those that the patient is planning to take. This also applies to over-the-counter medicines.

    Warnings and Precautions

    If you want to start treatment with Halset, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

    Contact your doctor if you experience any symptoms of an allergic reaction.

    You should see your doctor if you have severe infections or sore throats with high temperature, headaches, nausea, vomiting, or if your symptoms worsen, or if your symptoms persist after 3 days of treatment.

    In case of using a higher dose than recommended, consult your doctor. Also, do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

    Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility

    If the patient is pregnant, thinks that she may be or is planning to have a baby, consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking Halset.

    Driving vehicles and operating machinery

    There are no data on the effect of the preparation on the ability to drive and use machines.

    Halset contains sorbitol

    1 lozenge contains 742.35 mg of sorbitol. If you have been diagnosed with an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before starting the treatment. Caloric value of 2.6 kcal / g of sorbitol.
