    Product description

    Hascosept Forte is a throat spray used to treat symptoms associated with inflammation in the mouth such as pain, redness, swelling and mouth ulcers. The indications for the use of the medicinal product are also conditions after surgical procedures in ENT and dentistry, as well as after intubation. Hascosept Forte works:
    • analgesic,
    • anti-inflammatory
    • anti-swelling,
    • local anesthetic and disinfectant.
    The active substance is benzydamine (benzydamine hydrochloride), which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations (NSAIDs). The medicine is a colorless solution with a minty odor. The packaging of Hascosept Forte is a bottle equipped with a spray pump with an applicator for easy dosing of the preparation.

    Indications

    To treat symptoms such as pain, redness, swelling and aphthae associated with inflammation of the mouth and throat:
    • in bacterial and viral infections,
    • in laryngitis,
    • in inflammation of the mucous membranes after radiotherapy,
    • in conditions after surgical procedures in laryngology and dentistry, as well as after intubation.

    Composition

    1 ml of solution contains:
    • active ingredient: benzydamine hydrochloride 3 mg,
    • excipients: mint flavor (AR 0960), glycerol (E 422), ethanol 96%, sodium saccharin (E 954), macrogolglycerol ricinoleate, purified water.

    Action

    Anti-inflammatory, analgesic, local anesthetic and disinfectant.

    Dosage

    Adults: use 2 to 6 times a day, 2-4 doses (one dose contains 0.14 ml of the solution). Do not use more than the recommended dose.
    Continuous treatment should not exceed 7 days, and a doctor should decide on its possible extension.
    For use on the oral mucosa.
    Before the first use, press the pump button several times to obtain the correct spray.
    Turn the tip of the applicator to the horizontal position.
    Then place the applicator in the mouth, point its mouth towards the inflamed area and press the button firmly.
    Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
    In the event of taking more than the prescribed dose of the preparation or accidentally swallowing the preparation, immediately consult a doctor or pharmacist who will recommend appropriate treatment.

    Contraindications

    Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of the preparation.

    Storage

    Store in the closed, original packaging at a temperature below 25˚C.
    After first opening the bottle, the medicine is usable for 1 year if stored below 25˚C

    Side effects

    Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Local side effects are usually transient, self-limiting and rarely require additional treatment. Benzydamine, when applied topically, is absorbed into the circulation to a small extent, therefore systemic side effects are rare. Very rare side effects (in less than 1 in 10,000 patients taking the medicine) or not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data):
    burning sensation of the oral mucosa,
    • dry mouth
    • nausea and vomiting
    • hypersensitivity reactions,
    • allergic reaction (hypersensitivity),
    • sensory disturbance, numbness,
    • dizziness, headache,
    • rash.
    Severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) with symptoms such as difficulty in breathing, chest pain or tightness, and / or dizziness / fainting, severe itching of the skin or protruding lumps on the skin, clinking of the face, lips, tongue and ( or) throat and which may be potentially life-threatening.

    Interactions

    Hascosept Forte is not known to interact with other preparations.
    Tell the doctor or pharmacist about all the preparations that the patient is taking now or recently, and about the preparations that the patient is planning to take.

    Warnings and Precautions

    The use of topical medications, especially long-term use, may cause an allergic reaction. In this case, the preparation should be discontinued and contacted by a doctor who will prescribe appropriate treatment.
    Pregnancy and breastfeeding
    If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
    Your doctor will decide on the use of the preparation  in pregnant women and in breast-feeding women.
    Driving vehicles and operating machinery
    There are no studies on the effects of Hascosept Forte on the ability to drive and use machines.
    The preparation contains ethanol 96%
    Hascosept Forte contains small amounts of ethanol (alcohol) - less than 100 mg per dose.
