    Product description

    Hascovir Control MAX is a preparation to be used to prevent recurrence of herpes simplex in adults with normal immunity. Its active substance is acyclovir, which inhibits the multiplication of viruses from the herpes group that are pathogenic for humans.

    Indications

    Prevention of recurrence of herpes simplex in adults.

    Composition

    1 tablet contains:

    • Active substance: acyclovir 400 mg.
    • Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), potato starch, magnesium stearate.

    Action

    Antiviral.

    Dosage

    • Adults: 1 tablet orally twice a day, every 12 hours.
    • Without consulting a doctor, the preparation can be used for a maximum of 1 month, especially during the period of exposure to factors causing recurrence of herpes (e.g. increased exposure to sunlight, stress, fever).

    Contraindications

    It should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

    If you are allergic to aciclovir, valaciclovir or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

    Do not use the preparation by people with reduced immunity (e.g. after a bone marrow transplant, HIV-infected).

    Storage

    Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

    Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the package.

    Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines no longer needed. Such behavior will help to protect the environment.

    Side effects

    Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

    Common (affects 1 to 10 patients in 100):

    • headache and dizziness;
    • nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain;
    • itching, rash (also appearing after exposure to sunlight);
    • fatigue, fever.

    Uncommon (1 to 10 patients in 1,000):

    • skin reactions: hives, hair loss.

    Rare (1 to 10 patients in 10,000):

    • increase in blood urea and creatinine, transient increase in bilirubin and liver enzymes in the blood.

    Very rare (affects less than 1 in 10,000 people):

    • anemia, decreased number of white blood cells, thrombocytopenia (low level of blood platelets);
    • agitation, confusion, tremors, ataxia, speech disorder, hallucinations, psychotic symptoms, seizures, sleepiness, encephalopathy (brain damage), coma;
    • hepatitis, jaundice;
    • acute renal failure.

    Interactions

    If you experience any side effects, including any side effects not listed in this leaflet, tell your doctor or pharmacist, and if you have taken more than the recommended dose.

    If you have been diagnosed with an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

    Immunocompromised people and patients who develop cold sores while taking the preparation prophylactically should consult a physician regarding the treatment of any infection.

    Warnings and Precautions

    Do not use Hascovir control MAX without consulting your doctor first:

    • in patients with impaired renal function;
    • in patients who are taking other preparations that may damage the kidneys;
    • in elderly patients (65 years or older);
    • in pregnant or breastfeeding women;
    • in patients who have developed particularly severe recurrent cold sores;
    • in the case of noticing frequent (more than 6 per year) and longer (after 5 days of therapy no positive treatment effects) than before recurrences of herpes, with more severe clinical symptoms (e.g. when new foci of infection appear after 3-4 days of treatment) ). This may indicate an immunodeficiency or malabsorption disorders that require diagnosis and the need for a different dosage of the preparation.

    While taking this medicine, you should drink plenty of fluids to avoid the risk of kidney damage.

    It works quickly and effectively. The tablets are small. Easy to swallow. It's worth having them with you at all times. Especially when you are prone to herpes. Reliable drug. The most effective method of fighting herpes.

    Unfortunately, my cold sores often come back, but thanks to these tablets, it is much milder. There is no wound formation. I always have a spare pack of these pills at home. I recommend buying in online pharmacies because of the much lower price. Cons: Sometimes my stomach hurts after many days of use.

    It worked almost immediately, I had a festering pimple on my lip, I also had a lymph node under my chin, I washed with hydrogen peroxide, soda, iodine, I applied garlic, nothing worked, after taking two tablets after an hour relief, a scab formed, after another 3 days it fell off and after the problem I recommend it! !!
