    Product description

    Hascovir Pro is a cream medicine containing acyclovir. The active substance of the preparation has a strong antiviral effect against the herpes simplex virus. The cream is used in the local treatment of the symptoms of herpes labialis (so-called cold) and herpes lesions appearing on the face, caused by the Herpes simplex virus.

    Indications

    Local treatment of herpes labialis symptoms and herpes lesions on the face caused by the herpes simplex virus.

    Composition

    1 g of cream contains:
    • active ingredient: acyclovir 50 mg,
    • other ingredients: propylene glycol, poloxamer 407, cetearyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulfate, light liquid paraffin, white petrolatum, purified water.

    Action

    Antiviral.

    Dosage

    Adults: apply a small amount of the cream 5 times a day (every 4 hours) to herpetic lesions and their immediate vicinity.
    Use only topically on the skin.
    Hands should be washed thoroughly before and after applying the cream.
    Treatment is best started when the first signs of infection, including itching or stinging, appear.
    Immediate use of the preparation when the disease flares up can completely prevent its development.
    Treatment should last 5 days, and if symptoms persist, it may be extended for another 5 days. If symptoms persist after 10 days of treatment, please consult your doctor.

    Contraindications

    Allergic to acyclovir, valaciclovir, propylene glycol, cetostearyl alcohol or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.
    The preparation should not be used on mucous membranes and in the treatment of genital herpes.

    Storage

    Store below 25 ° C, in a tightly closed tube, out of the sight and reach of children.
    Do not refrigerate or freeze.

    Side effects

    Hascovir Pro, like any other medicine, can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
    Common (affects 1 to 10 in 100 people):
    • mild drying or peeling of the skin.
    Uncommon (affects 1 to 10 in 1,000 people):
    • a temporary burning or tingling sensation
    • itch.
    Rare (affects 1 to 10 in 10,000 people):
    • erythema,
    • contact dermatitis after using the preparation.
    Very rare (affects less than 1 in 10,000 people):
    • sudden hypersensitivity reactions, including severe ones such as angioedema.

    Interactions

    Tell the doctor or pharmacist, and all the medicines that the patient is taking, or has recently taken, and which the patient is going to take.
    There are no known preparation interactions and other forms of interactions.

    Warnings and Precautions

    The preparation should not be applied to the oral mucosa and eyes, as it may cause irritation.
    Do not allow the preparation to come into contact with the eyes.
    The preparation is intended only for cold sores located on the lips and face.
    In the event of particularly severe recurrent cold sores, please consult your doctor.
    People with lowered immunity should not use the preparation without consulting a doctor.
    During the treatment period, do not scratch the vesicles and scabs and allow them to damage, especially during mice and drying the skin.
    The preparation may be used in pregnant women only on the express recommendation of a doctor.
    The preparation has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
    Hascovir Pro includes:
    • propylene glycol, which may cause skin irritation,
    • cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions including contact dermatitis.

    the best and inexpensive ointment that brings relief. Other ointments with this composition don't work so well, maybe it's just in my head but I always choose hascovir!

    A very good product, the packaging is twice as large as ointments from another company, the composition is the same and the price is half the price. Since I found out about this replacement, I only buy Hascovir

    It doesn't dry out - which can lead to cracking of the scab, it heals quickly even at an advanced stage, it smells nice, the consistency could be thicker, it's not sticky - creamy, and as usual with small tubes - you press a little and it flies and flies and it's hard to stop and you have to turn it quickly
