Tablets "Helpex® Anticold DX" are used for the symptomatic treatment of acute respiratory viral infections, influenza (elimination of dry obsessive cough, reduction of fever, reduction of runny nose, removal of swelling of the nasal mucosa, elimination of body aches, elimination of headache).

Structure

One tablet contains (active ingredients):

paracetamol - 500 mg;
caffeine - 30 mg;
phenylephrine hydrochloride - 10 mg;
chlorpheniramine maleate - 2 mg;
dextromethorphan hydrobromide - 10 mg.

Excipients: corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, tartrazine (E 102), magnesium stearate, talc, sodium starch glycolate (type A), brilliant blue (E 133).

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to preparation components, other xanthine derivatives (theophylline, theobromine);
decompensated heart failure, ventricular tachycardia, acute myocardial infarction, impaired cardiac conduction, severe coronary heart disease, severe arterial hypertension, severe atherosclerosis, peripheral arterial thrombosis;
pheochromocytoma;
bronchial asthma, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; the risk of developing respiratory failure;
stenosing ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, pyloroduodenal obstruction;
severe liver and kidney dysfunction, acute pancreatitis, hepatitis;
adenoma of the prostate gland with difficulty urinating, obstruction of the bladder neck;
blood diseases (including severe anemia, leukopenia);
deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, congenital hyperbilirubinemia;
epilepsy, hyperexcitability, sleep disturbance;
hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, alcoholism;
old age (from 60 years old);
glaucoma;
simultaneous use with tricyclic antidepressants, ß-blockers, serotonin reuptake inhibitors; application simultaneously with MAO inhibitors and within 2 weeks after the termination of their use.

Mode of application

Adults and children over 12 years of age are prescribed one tablet up to 4 times a day. The interval between doses of the preparation should be at least 4 hours. The duration of treatment should be no more than 5 days. The maximum period of application without consulting a doctor is 3 days. Take the medicine 1 hour after a meal with plenty of water.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Overdose

In patients with risk factors, therapeutic doses of paracetamol can cause overdose symptoms with the simultaneous use of certain preparations and in diseases, increase oxidative stress and deplete glutathione stores in the liver (prolonged fasting, sepsis, diabetes mellitus).

With an overdose of paracetamol in the first 24 hours, symptoms develop: pallor of the skin, nausea, vomiting, anorexia and abdominal pain. Psychomotor agitation or depression of the central nervous system, increased sweating, dizziness, sleep disturbance, drowsiness, heart rhythm disturbances, tachycardia, extrasystole, tremor, hyperreflexia, convulsions, pancreatitis can be observed.

Side effects

From the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions, including itching, rash on the skin and mucous membranes (usually generalized rash (erythematous, urticaria), anaphylactic shock, angioedema, exudative erythema multiforme (including Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis.

From the side of the central nervous system: psychomotor agitation and disorientation, anxiety, fear, anxiety, irritability, sleep disturbance, insomnia, drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, hallucinations, depressions, tremors, tingling sensation and heaviness in the limbs, tinnitus , headache, in some cases - coma, convulsions, dyskinesia, changes in behavior, general weakness, increased sweating.

From the respiratory system: bronchospasm in patients sensitive to aspirin and other NSAIDs.

From the side of the organ of vision: visual impairment and accommodation, mydriasis, increased intraocular pressure, dry eyes.

From the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, vomiting, heartburn, dry mouth, discomfort and pain in the epigastrium, diarrhea, hypersalivation, decreased appetite, exacerbation of peptic ulcer disease, flatulence, constipation.

From the digestive system: impaired liver function, increased activity of liver enzymes, usually without the development of jaundice, hepatonecrosis (when using high doses).

From the endocrine system: hypoglycemia, up to hypoglycemic coma.

On the part of the blood and lymphatic system: anemia, including hemolytic anemia, bruising or bleeding; sulfhemoglobinemia and methemoglobinemia (cyanosis, shortness of breath, heart pain).

With prolonged use in high doses - aplastic anemia, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, neutropenia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia.

On the part of the kidneys and urinary system: when using high doses - nephrotoxicity (including papillary necrosis), impaired urination, urinary retention and difficulty urinating, dysuria, interstitial nephritis, increased creatinine clearance, increased sodium and calcium excretion, aseptic pyuria, renal colic.

From the side of the cardiovascular system: arterial hypertension, tachycardia or reflex bradycardia, arrhythmia, shortness of breath, heart pain.

Simultaneous use of the preparation in recommended doses with products containing caffeine can increase the side effects caused by caffeine, such as dizziness, irritability, insomnia, anxiety, anxiety, irritability, headache, gastrointestinal disturbances and heart palpitations.
