Oral solution "Haemoferon" is used for the following indications:
1 ml of solution contains (active ingredients):
Excipients: ethanol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), sorbitol (E 420), sodium saccharin, sodium chloride, disodium edetate (Trilon B), raspberry flavor, purified water.
The preparation is taken orally, preferably 30-40 minutes before meals. The dosage of the preparation is carried out using a measuring cup or a dosing syringe, which are attached.
For the treatment of iron deficiency and folate deficiency anemia, adults and children over 12 years of age are prescribed 15-20 ml of the preparation "Haemoferon" per day.
For the treatment of iron deficiency and folate deficiency anemia in children under 12 years of age, the preparation is prescribed in the following doses:
6-9 months - 5 ml;
10-12 months - 7.5 ml;
1-3 years - 10 ml;
4-6 years old - 12.5 ml;
7-12 years old - 15 ml.
The preparation contains ethyl alcohol. The permissible concentration of ethyl alcohol in preparations for children is 0.5%. In this regard, the daily dose of the preparation for children must be divided into two doses and mixed with a tablespoon of water.
The duration of the course of treatment is determined individually, depending on the course and severity of the disease. The average duration of the course of treatment is 1-3 months.
Pregnant
It is possible to use the preparation during pregnancy and lactation only as directed and under the supervision of a doctor with a laboratory-established iron deficiency, without exceeding the recommended dose.
Children
The preparation is used in children from 6 months.
Drivers
Care should be taken when driving vehicles, because sometimes dizziness may occur when using the preparation.
If the recommended doses are exceeded, overdose phenomena are possible. A lethal dose of elemental iron is 180-300 mg / kg of body weight. However, for some patients, a dose of 30 mg / kg elemental iron may be toxic. In young children, the risk of acute intoxication is especially high: life-threatening intoxication is possible when taking 1 g of ferrous sulfate.
In case of an overdose, an increase in adverse reactions is possible. Symptoms of acute iron poisoning occur within 10-60 minutes or a few hours after taking the preparation.
From the digestive tract: pain in the stomach, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, stool staining black, flatulence, discomfort (feeling of fullness) in the abdomen, metallic taste in the mouth, darkening of the teeth, loss of appetite.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: skin redness, itching and rash, urticaria, acne, bullous rash.
From the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions (anaphylaxis, anaphylactic shock, bronchospasm).
From the nervous system: headache, dizziness, nervous agitation.
From the side of the heart: pain in the region of the heart, tachycardia.
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach of children.
