Milk thistle fruit extract contains a sum of flavolignans called silymarin (80%). Silymarin is a mixture of three isomers - silybin, silyguanin and silychristin. Silymarin has hepatoprotective, antitoxic and antioxidant properties in acute and chronic intoxications, which is due to its ability to stabilize the membranes of liver cells, stimulate microcirculation and repair processes.
