    Description:

    Heviran Comfort MAX is an antiviral preparation. The active substance of Heviran ComfortMAX is acyclovir, which inhibits the multiplication of Herpes viruses which are pathogenic for humans.

    Indications:

    Heviran Comfort MAX is used to prevent: recurrence of herpes simplex in adults with normal immunity.
    Heviran Comfort MAX can only be used in patients who have been diagnosed with herpes simplex in the past.

    Dosage:

    It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking the preparation  to avoid the risk of kidney damage and reduce the likelihood of side effects. Swallow the tablets with a drink of water.

    Adults:

    The preparation should be administered orally at a dose of 1 tablet (400 mg) twice a day, every 12 hours. Without consulting a doctor, the preparation can be used for a maximum of 1 month, especially in the period of exposure to factors causing herpes recurrence (e.g. increased exposure to light). sunlight, stress, fever).
    Use in patients with impaired renal function:
    Patients with renal impairment should drink plenty of fluids while taking Heviran Comfort MAX. In patients with severe renal impairment, with creatinine clearance less than 10 ml / min, only a doctor can decide on the dosage of aciclovir.

    Use in elderly patients:

    In elderly patients, the possibility of impaired renal function should be taken into account. In patients with severely impaired renal function, with creatinine clearance less than 10 ml / min, the dosage of aciclovir can only be decided by a doctor who will adjust the dose accordingly.

    Storage method:

    Keep this medicine out of the sight of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Store in the original package. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines no longer needed. Such behavior will help to protect the environment.

    Composition:

    The active substance is acyclovir. Each tablet contains 400 mg aciclovir.
    The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), magnesium stearate

    Possible side effects:

    Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
    If you develop the following rare symptoms (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 patients), contact your doctor immediately: shortness of breath, angioedema (e.g. swelling of the face, tongue and trachea causing difficulty in breathing), anaphylactic reaction (often characterized by itching) , hives, shortness of breath, drop in blood pressure, increased heart rate).
    The following side effects may also occur while taking the preparation:
    Common (affecting up to 1 in 10 patients): headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, itching, rash (including photosensitivity), fatigue, fever.
    Uncommon (affects up to 1 in 100 patients): hives, accelerated diffuse hair loss. Since accelerated diffuse hair loss can be associated with many diseases and with the use of many medications, its relationship to aciclovir is uncertain.
    Very rare (affecting up to 1 in 10,000 patients): agitation, tremors, impaired coordination of movements (ataxia), speech disorder, confusion, hallucinations, psychotic symptoms, damage to the brain (encephalopathy), seizures, sleepiness, coma, hepatitis and jaundice. Acute kidney failure, kidney pain. Renal pain may be associated with kidney (kidney) failure. Renal impairment usually disappears quickly when the patient is replaced with fluids and / or when the dose is reduced or discontinued.
    Heviran Comfort MAX may cause changes in the blood picture and therefore your doctor may recommend blood tests. You may experience:
    Rare: increases in blood creatinine and urea (substances that indicate how well the kidneys are working), transient increases in liver enzymes and serum bilirubin (substances that indicate how the liver is working).
    Very rare: reduction in the number of platelets which may affect clotting. Tell your doctor if you experience unexplained bruises, red or purple spots on the skin. Low white blood cell count or anemia (anemia).
