Preparation for topical application. Ibalgin Sport contains ibuprofen, which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations (propionic acid derivative) with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
Adults, adolescents from 12 years of age: 2 to 3 times a day, every 4 to 5 hours, a layer of cream with a thickness of 1 mm should be spread on the affected area and the surrounding area, and then gently rubbed. In the case of venous diseases, a pressure dressing may be applied to the affected area overnight. When treating large and painful hematomas with the cream, it is recommended to use an occlusive dressing at the beginning of treatment, if possible, preferably at night. In order to relieve severe pain, it is recommended to supplement the treatment with ibuprofen tablets. Only a doctor can recommend the preparation in children from 3 to 12 years of age.
1 g of cream contains 50 mg (5%) of ibuprofen (Ibuprofenum) and 200 IU. heparinoid (Heparinoid).
Medium-chain saturated triglycerides, macrogol stearyl ether (Steareth-2), macrogol stearyl ether (Steareth-21), hydroxyethyl cellulose, stearic acid, cetyl stearyl alcohol, methyl hydroxybenzoate (E 218), hydroxybenzoate, propylene glycol (E216), purified water (E216).
The mechanism of the anti-inflammatory action is based on the inhibition of the activity of cyclooxygenase - an enzyme activating one of the pathways of arachidonic acid metabolism, which leads to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. Topically applied to the skin, it relieves pain, reduces swelling, and reduces inflammation. Heparinoid has anticoagulant, anti-exudative and weak anti-inflammatory properties,
accelerates the absorption of hematomas and edema.
Local inflammatory symptoms of acute and chronic rheumatoid diseases, pain related to osteoarthritis and spine degeneration. Ibalgin Sport can also be used as an aid in superficial thrombophlebitis, migratory phlebitis, varicose inflammation, local changes caused by the treatment of obliterative varicose veins, prevents hardening of the skin as a result of chronic venous insufficiency, treatment of tendinitis and myositis and fascia, post-traumatic treatment and treatment of injuries sustained, for example, while practicing sports, such as: swelling, contusions, traumatic hematomas, joint injuries, damage to periarticular tissues.
Ibalgin Sport cannot be used in case of hypersensitivity to ibuprofen, heparinoid or ingredients of the cream base. In addition, the preparation should not be used in patients who have experienced asthma attacks, urticaria or allergic rhinitis after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations.
Ibalgin Sport should not be used on open wounds, dermatologically changed skin, mucous membranes and eyes.
Transient redness or rash may occur after applying the cream. Local hypersensitivity reactions (skin swelling and redness, burning, itching, hives) may rarely occur.
Do not use on large areas of the body if ESR results increase, as the use of the preparation may mask significant changes in this indicator.
